LOL!........................
I went to look a a boat for sale once that had an inboard engine.
I opened the engine compartment and there were black widow spiders everywhere!
I closed it and said no thanks....................
The best pest control is a bull snake. We always tried to keep one around the barn.
Nope, no football teams. Best I kin do is buy ‘em dinner at Cracker Barrel. (”You got dinner, boy, let me get that Mercedes for ‘ya.”)
Funny, I grew up in the middle of the oil boom, but damn little of it trickled my way. :D
Sounds like it’s time to get out the old .410 snake charmer.
they found 45. How many did they miss?
Actually pier and beam are still a thing in new house construction in Texas.
Seriously ... you watch way to much TV. Your “Texan” talk is a dead giveaway.
Every house I've owned had a crawl space...under the house.
I few years...ago....I was hearing a spraying like noise..about 60 feet from the crawl space entry. I knew what it was....it was a small flipping water leak. I tried to ignore it...
Well....I know how to plumb. My Dad taught me....So I crawl over and under..all types of stuff.....Get to the leak.....figure out what I need.
Of course by this time...I'm a dirty mess...I go to local hardware store...The owner knows me..and starts laughing. Ha!!
I tell him what I need....and he say's "You ever used SharkBite fittings?" HUH!!???? I'd never heard of them....He showed me some...and you use this piping called PEX...and I thought well okay....I'll do it.
Got what I needed...crawled under house...and in under 20 minutes...I was done. I laid there..thinking this was too easy. Crawled back out...and turned water on. No leak!!!!
Next day it's leaking!!!! E^#$&$%*%^*!!!!@!@
Went back to hardware store...asked what was the fail rate on these fittings....he said less than 2%,,and they were plumbing whole homes with this stuff....Asked me..if I was sure I clicked them tight.
So went back under....the house...and re-clicked all the fittings...and damned if one of them re-"clicked"....and the leak was fixed...and to this day..it's fixed.
BUT...two days after this...I'm in the shower...and feel a bump near my groin.
A day later it hurts and it's angry. Third day it's red like a little volcano on my groin.
I'm in the Healthcare biz....And I don't like Doctors...hehe!!....so I'm thinking it's a spider bite...But I don't have a fever..and I just ice it...and take Tylenol for the pain.
I was thinking I'm going to rot off my groin parts....
But maybe 4 days into it...it popped. Had a pencil eraser sized hole..
So yeah....house's have crawl spaces..!!
If he did the title of the story would have started with “Florida Man...”.
I jus gone say, ‘NO!’ *SMIRK*
Yeah, I ain't proud of it.
Actually I'm trying to imitate the Texas Tycoon accent described by Richard Bradford in his novel So Far From Heaven.
I used to put a kingsnake under the house.
This might call for eight kingsnakes.
Shake rattle and roll.
Or torch them out and burn his house down.
Kill it with fire!!!
Good description. I like it battered and deep fried.
:-D
