I just learned this, and I was quite surprised. Chile's area is over 290,000 square miles; Ukraine, the largest country in Europe other than European Russia, has an area of under 235,000 square miles.

A little secret that not many know is how beautiful the country of Chile is. Some of it is as beautiful as the Alps at 1/4 the price. Also it has the same weather as California, low humidity and nice winters..

Chile is a pretty neat place, and I believe has a considerable number of American expats. But few countries have less percent of productive or usable land, which makes its agricultural output even more remarkable.
