Sessions became a co-sponsor of the Corker bill on 04/15/2015.
The Corker bill put the onus on Congress to muster 67 votes to block the Iran agreement.
The final vote was 98-1 passing Corker’s bill. The bill was sent to house where it passed.
The only Senator to vote no was Tom Cotton. I don’t know which senator was missing from the vote.

The interview when Chaffetz reported a direct meeting with Sessions (can't find it at the moment), is damning of Sessions as it reports Sessions would never investigate the Clintons. I have no reason to disbelieve Jason C.

That was well written up to the recusal part. You had me and I agree up to that point. Sessions recused because he had to. Legal Fags know this to be true. Sessions laid the ground work and then HAD to move on. Reasons and all that. Legal reasons. The “firing” is optics.

Sessions was the one clean Senator. Squeaky even. Still is clean. Squeaky even.

Ah yes, Chaffetz is from Utah. Well, from what I’ve seen of him on FNC he’s supportive of Trump and my spidey senses don’t tingle when he speaks. That’s a good sign. Governor would be a good spot. I assume in NV that the cities overrule a lot of the suburbs and rural areas. That makes it hard anywhere. We really need to do something about that.

You’re missing one crucial part.

Sessions did not need to take the job.

Just as P0TUS has repeated on multiple occasions, even two days ago at CPAC “Why did he take the job knowing he would have to recuse?”

Think about it.

Has nothing to do with legalities. He was grilled in confirmation, asked if he would recuse IF ...

and then Comey gets fired and Jeff dives for cover.

Don’t defend him. He took the job because he loves his Alabamans more than he loves the President.

He’s a casualty, good man but dead politically.

I think that which you said above is profound and so very well stated. He did serve at great cost.

We do not know the full story yet. I am hoping that he was indeed doing good things behind the scenes. But I can see the plausibility of what you have reported. In any case, I do believe he meant well and did the best he could. And perhaps when the whole story is told, we may see more to his credit than appears to be the case available to us right now.

One thing to his everlasting credit is that he gave his all in helping to early on establish Donald Trump’s credibility and seriousness, which contributed to him getting elected. We owe Sessions that.

Thank you Snowybear. I appreciate your listing of the times we are admonished to “Trust Sessions.” I truly have been and remain mindful of them. I am not convinced as yet that the Kabuki is over involving Sessions, Mattis, and now Tom Fitton saying Barr will probably not go after Hillary. That is just so hard to believe...and yet we do desperately WANT the Derps to believe it!

I am willing to accept the truth as we learn from Q and/or reputable data sources about the behind the scenes stories which will come out. I am HOPING and expecting that Sessions will not disappoint. However, he is human, and I will love him despite his mistakes. I agree with Hostage that Sessions is in any case a casualty, or one who willingly surrendered his good name - at least temporarily - in order to bring about the saving of the Republic.
