Alabama police say a dispute over crab legs at a dinner buffet ended in a brawl that left two people facing misdemeanor charges.
Huntsville police officer Gerald Johnson says he was eating at the Meteor Buffet restaurant when a fight broke out.
Johnson tells WHNT-TV that diners were using service tongs like fencing swords and plates were shattering, and a woman was beating a man. Johnson says diners had been waiting in line for crab legs for more than 10 minutes, and they lost their tempers once the food came out.

Wouldn’t fight over those puny snow crab legs.
If the buffet mentions crab legs, don’t go. There are some people who will just eat the crab legs.
I don’t like the crab legs so it doesn’t affect me but people get really angry.
Like king crabs, snow crabs have very long legs that provide a lot of their meat. Snow crab meat is quite tasty, but is considered a little more fibrous than king crab meat. Their legs are thinner and less impressive than king crabs'. Snow crab claws are small, just the right size for a bite or two.
But I was thinking regular crab legs to be honest. The whole crab is a waste of time as far as I am concerned. They were okay as a young adult when money was tighter and we ate them by the dozens with our beer. 8>)

That's also my opinion, especially at Chinese buffets. They are so small. I have the same opinion about crawfish.
When you go to a crawfish boil you really can't tear those heads off while wearing gloves.
So, I will stick to my cedar-planked salmon and lobster bisque.

Navigating a buffet line is an exercise in self-discipline and restraint. So much not good for you.
I try to avoid buffets because the lower class people tend to go there but when I do, I try to stick to the meats that aren't breaded and try to put together a salad that consists of healthy ingredients. It's actually quite a challenge.
