Well I am in End of Life Hospice care at the Togus Hospital in Augusta Maine.
So, I reckon I can say just about anything I want to about politics, politicians, false prophets, preachers and everything else.
If you were in my shoes, what would you say and to whom.
Make peace with God; leave Ryan and Pelosi for those of us down here.
Amen. You've been around this forum for a long time, Bob. Thank you for all your contributions to the fight for common sense. The situation you are in comes for all of us. It's just that most manage to push it to the back of their mind. Life here is just a blink of the eye.
I would tell myself to make the most of whatever time the good Lord provides you....for your happiness... and any good things you can do for others.... don’t let them knock you out any more than necessary, you’re alive today! you’ll probably be alive tomorrow, too, so make the most of it!
Smiles and a gentle hug. Onward to infinity and beyond. See you there
I hope you will go in peace to eternal reward and that your family will be comforted.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
i hope don’t suffer and don’t waste your time on Nancy and Co.
I would just say thank you. What a gift, to be able to queue people up and say, “Thank you so much for being in my life.”
All the pieces, in your case, are about to go back into the box. I’d spend my time dreaming about what Heaven was going to be like, and who I might see there. What would it be like with Jesus being the only source of light there.
I’d wonder why all of the angels in Heaven wore swords, and why they’d need to.
I’d be sad at all the time I spent worrying about earthly stuff and not more about my soul.
You posed such an interesting, humbling, and useful question.
I’m so sorry for your situation, but at the same time, you are fortunate.
May God Bless You,
Matt
I’m more interested in your thoughts than what my thoughts might be. And not about politics, especially, but life.
Well, first I'd make my peace with - and ask for forgiveness for my sins from - God.
Then, if I wasn't Christian, I'd study up really quick on Jesus Christ, hopefully see that He is indeed God made incarnate on this earth, see that he suffered and died for my sins, and so accept Him as my Savior.
Then I'd get to forgive others for their malfeasances and slights towards me. This isn't easy, but in the Lord's Prayer, it clearly says to "...and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.".
Then I'd try to spend time with family and friends, (and after taking care of all idiotic estate issues,) just have as much fun - silly, or serious fun - as conditions warrant. Try singing some songs in harmony. Thumb wrestle. Whatever floats your boat, just do it as a group.
God bless you, good luck, and prayers out.
I wouldn't waste what time I have left on the dregs of political society. They're not worth your time or effort. One thing you can do for those of us, who will more than likely be following you in the not-too-distance future, is to drain the swamp in Heaven. If I'm lucky enough to reach it, the last thing I want to see when I reach the Pearly Gates, is the likes of John McCain, Ted Kennedy, or any of other slugs who may have weaseled their way inside. God Bless you and yours.
I am , thank you
Peace to you Bob.
Peace to you Bob.
Remember us when you are talking to Ronald Reagan and George Washington.
I would be using this platform to tell everyone where I am going (eternity in the presence of God), how I am getting there (through the shed blood of Jesus Christ), and how they can go there too (by confessing they are sinners and turning away from that sin to Christ).
I hope you have the assurance of where you’re going.
Christ has saved me, I am fine knowing that soon, very soon, I will be with the Lord. I pray for our land, our President and our Patriots.
Is that you in the picture in your profile? Prayers for you and your family.
Can you still vote?
Seriously, God speed.
Prayers up for you.
I would pass to you the same advice I have given several other friends who were at the end of their lives. Some young, some old, but the advice remained the same.
List the most important people in your life. Put them in order. Write a letter to each one explaining why they are important to you. In that letter, ask for their forgiveness for any hurt or harm you may have caused. Ask a friend to mail them the day you die.
