I don’t doubt that at all. They can get paid better on some other losing team.

It was a defensive struggle for sure. If the Rams can keep that defense together for another season, they would have another shot at the playoffs. I agree

That game was a snore, except for a few good ads and Tony Romo's commentary. Brady played a terrible game. The Pats did just enough to win 4th quarter. It's like LA didn't even inspire them to want to play. Do the Pats play the Saints next season? Perhaps we should regard that as the real SuperBowl LIII (if Brady's still playing)
Tom Brady has it all. The younger players entering the NFL grew up watching him play. Now that he's shown his dominance over one of these young QBs, I actually would not be upset if he retired. Winning at his age is remarkable. But why risk a permanent injury when he already has achieved every imaginable goal he might have set for himself? Maybe keep him around to mentor a replacement?

The Patriots coaching staff had a better understanding of how the game would play out. Experience.

He needs another five to match Bill Russell. He is on a good run, but not a Boston dynasty yet.

Well, fortunately for Brady, unlike Jaime Lannister, he has another hand.

“Theyre not establishing run dominance they could do.”
Yeah, even if the runs don’t make first downs early in the game they wear down the defense for later.
BUT that requires runners and offensive line that can hold up. Maybe the Rams don’t have that.

Time is cruel to all of us. It won't be any more nice to Brady if he keeps playing, and my opinion is that another season definitely puts him at risk.
He would have to make a choice if he wanted to stay around as a mentor. It would be difficult though for the team to keep him on the payroll while a new QB was playing.

I know....Russell HATES Boston.
