This sounds like a positive development to me. The locals figuring out how to fight their own battles.

Yes. My other shoulder, however was much more damaged than this one. I had an injury on top of degenerative changes. This shoulder, however is just from age related changes.

Church ladies here and gone, a very nice visit, loved my White House ornaments.
From a friend in Hawaii...........after I sent him the video on San Fran...
As you may already know, Hawaii has the highest percentage of homeless people in the country. On the surface most folks would conclude that Hawaii is not taking care of their citizens. However, the fact of the matter is that many cities and states ( in particular California ) offer one way airfare to Hawaii to their homeless population. As a result we get stuck with the riffraff .

I always had trouble with fudge, had a lot of chocolate hot fudge though.
A friend of mine in Utah told me this works every time and it sure does.
So easy.....
Three minute fudge.........I skip the nuts.
Oh and use a wooden spoon to beat it, recipe says rubber spatula but she told me to use a wooden spoon.

That how business was done. Remember getting brown eggs, a bushel of pears, delivery of cut wood. All in trade for services rendered! A more honest was of doing business. Hand shake. DJT was raised with the same work ethic.
Not unusual to go out to the garage and there's a nice car sitting...the owner has bills to pay or son/grandson wasn't mature enough to drive yet. Food/air conditioner/corn hole set/you name it/computer/free work as payment/ski jet/.....

Yes, that's a very easy way...BUT the texture CottonBall wants won't come from microwave fudge. It will be too creamy and not crumbly. Its like the difference between a soft cookie and a crunchy cookie.
Let me think some on how your dad must have made the fudge....My mind has to go back to watching my mom make her peanut butter fudge....I believe she put the 3 cups of sugar on the stove/salt... with the milk and brought it to a boil...then turned it down to simmer...that could be when he put in the chips/peanut butter ...it was then safe to stir because it has gone through the boil stage....then when he took it off of the stove....he added the nutmeg and vanilla. The eggnog fudge sounds wonderful.

50,000 tourists ringing in the #NewYear in Erbil
ERBIL, Kurdistan Region Fifty thousand tourists have come to Erbil to ring in the New Year, according to police.
They have come through checkpoints and airports, and the police have taken necessary measures to welcome them, Abdul-Khaliq Talaat, head of Erbil Police, told Rudaw on Sunday.
The visitors come from southern and central Iraq, as well as neighbouring countries.
Talaat said the city has prepared a special programme for the Iraqi tourists, throwing two separate parties in Erbil to celebrate the occasion.
Erbil is decorated for the party with lights and Christmas trees across the city.
Every year, many Iraqi tourists typically Christians visit the Kurdistan Region to celebrate Christmas and the New Year in a way they cannot in their home towns and cities because of security concerns.
The Kurdistan Region is a popular tourist draw year round, attracting visitors to its cooler mountains in summer, snow in winter, and secure environment.

The original Jet-Puffed fudge recipe has never failed me. Do NOT use the recipe on today's jars. https://thesavvyage.com/original-fantasy-fudge-recipe-soft-food-recipe/ Original Fantasy Fudge Ingredients 3 cups sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine 2/3 cup evaporated milk 2 cups semi chocolate chips (I used Tollhouse) 1 jar of marshmallow crème, Kraft jet puffed 7 oz. jar 1 tsp. vanilla Chopped nuts are optional Directions Grease a 9 X 13 pan. Alternative and much easier is to line a 9 X 13″ pan with parchment paper, this allows a much quicker release and clean up. In a medium pot, mix sugar, butter and milk. Bring the mixture to a full boil using medium heat, stirring constantly so the sugar dissolves and the mixture does not burn on the bottom of the pot. ** Boil for five minutes. This is important! Five minutes exactly !! Remove the thickened mixture from the heat and add chocolate chips. Add the marshmallow crème and vanilla. Add nuts if desired. Pour into the prepared pan to cool.
