Early morning gaggle at the White House with President @realDonaldTrump before departing for California.
And backatcha!. At Amy’s place it is Caturday!
You are an early bird daily. I think your time zone is 2 hours behind EST?
After a week of confusion, what are your impressions re: AZ elections? If LS has posted anything I have missed it.
Seems when I finally get wifi for a bit I am going like crazy to take in what I can along the way.
I can get Nancy Pelosi as many votes as she wants in order for her to be Speaker of the House. She deserves this victory, she has earned it - but there are those in her party who are trying to take it away. She will win! @TomReedCongress
Saw that too, Dolly.
I have wondered about that for years now.
CA has way too many fires to be caused by “lightning”, etc.
I would not doubt it.
About AZ elections, still counting out here, really!
I was just sick about Sinema winning but have come to grips with it as I examined reasons why McSally lost.
Biggest reason, I can see is pubbies just plain don’t trust her, she’s a McPain mini-me, which she tried to hide, causing more distrust.
Guess it’s better to have a person who you know will be crazy than to constantly wonder what one who is supposed to be on your side will do to stick a knife in.
AZ has had just about enough of Flakey Flake!!!
And yes, I am an early riser, anywhere from 2am to 4am, which I prefer but doesn’t always work out.
Some of the previous fires were proved to be arson, caught and are prosecuting perps.
But haven’t heard anything about this latest round.
Speaking of fires that cause smoke, we drove to a neighboring town yesterday that’s only 30 miles away, as we topped a hill, we could see thick smoke on the whole horizon.
Don’t know if it was rolling in from the CA fires or what.
As we headed home, smoke got very thick from a controlled burn, it’s not nice but we know it helps our forests so we put up with it here in AZ.
Too bad CA shuts down with lawsuits, enviro’s have tried to do that here but many times we win but they keep suing.
I wonder if it will be televised.
Thanks, DollyCali!
Thanks for breakfast lysie, heading out to garage sales in a couple hours, now on a full stomach.
Thanks for the ping Dolly, have you in my PRayers, hoping all goes better for you.
Sounds like the same recipe :-( I thought it was just a poor Appalachian version, but maybe it is South wide.
All the things that I loved about southern cooking I can’t seem to find here. Like chicken fried steak! Although they do make good biscuits and good dumplings. I was getting the hang of those before my arm problems, so I’ll probably have to relearn.
The lady that made the beans and cornbread for me through up in the house without electricity or running water. They had to go to the creek. She said her mother would give her cornbread in buttermilk as a snack. And to this day she still likes it. So maybe a lot of the recipes that aren’t that great are just good childhood memories. I do notice the people here don’t like change, so that would explain it. That’s one of the reasons we moved here though, there probably 20 years behind the times. Most of our neighbors go to town to pay their bills, in person. The local bank was offering incentives to get people to use the ATM and quit going inside. Cute things like that, and of course the checkers have all day to talk to you. So lines can get long. But nobody Minds because they also are talking while they are waiting. It’s a different mindset. And you’re better just not be in a hurry.
Wow. A great FB post....wish it could be sent to major news media and be reprinted there.....but know that’s not possible. Still, it says a lot and we know the President is right in what he has said. Again.
You are welcome , sweetie. I love garage sales.Hope you find some great stuff.
And has been the worst time of my life. Even worse than when I had my other arm injuries because I couldn’t figure out what was causing it. I know it will be two steps forward one step back, because tendonosis heals slowly and you also need to put tension on the tendon to get it to heal. But too much and you’re back where you started. But as long as I do go two steps forward, that’s okay! Today I woke up, no pain! I’m going to try gentle stretches and keep my fingers crossed that I don’t overdo it.
Or apple butter
For the people of California? All he does for those people is tax them and drive them away. He only cares about the people of South America.
