I think hey will do anything they can to not lose control of the Supreme Court before the mid-terms.
In their stupid, derpie minds, they somehow think they JUST MIGHT take the House and maybe even the Senate and then they are back in control of investigations and confirmations.
So the running out the clock is geared toward the mid-terms rather than any [RR] impeachment. Also, the DECLAS is what will get rid of that weasel, not impeachment.
That's their big gamble and hope. These dirty derps probably have more tricks up their sleeves.
And Trump/Q has probably planned for all contingencies, as good Generals do. And Trump has a lot of Generals (and the Q people).
So yes, while [RR] is indeed a firewall for the derps, one of the few they have left, he is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. If (and he will) go down, then the floodgates of PAIN can commence. So, yes, he is an important piece, but I think it's wishful thinking to attribute any good motive to him, whether forced or not.
As long as the derps have the media, they will keep hope alive that they can still pull this one out.
And, while we have most of the cards, we could actually still lose. All things matter in this war, and [RR] most certainly does.

p.s. Prediction time. Trump/Q will have Kavanaugh in and [RR] out. And keep the House and Senate. That's when the table will be fully set and movie #2 can start. Coming to a theater near you this fall, as foretold.

I think a good turning inside out might do him a world of benefit. Maybe the inertia of all that mass moving so quickly would cause the layers upon layers of loose blubber to be flung outward, away from the center. Think "big bang event". All that would be left is a normal sized husk of a human with VERY loose skin.
After months, maybe years of rehab, physical therapy, and skin sewing, he may even learn to function as a viable human being again.

Trump cannot fire RR over Declass insubordination while he still needs the votes of Flake and Corker on Judge K.
The Democrat’s ham-handed efforts to delay confirmation aren’t about keeping Judge K off the SC, they are about tying Trump’s hands on Declass insubordination. He can’t fire RR and force the release the docs unredacted for the entire coup plot to be laid open while Flake and Corker still have votes (on Judge K) that can hurt him. He must wait it out and Judge K safely confirmation before lopping off RR’s head.
That’s why the Democrats are trying to push this to where the Declass docs come out too late to be able to destroy the Democrats in the midterms. It’s not really about keeping Judge K off the court, it’s about the danger to them from the Declass docs.
