Week one of the regular NFL season kicked off this weekend with a wimper–the ratings were at a 10-year low.
Friday night’s Eagles vs Falcons game was hit with heavy rains which caused a delay.
WOMP WOMP.
Americans are fed up with athletes kneeling during the National Anthem and it showed–plenty of empty seats plagued stadiums on Sunday.

Plenty of empty seats at Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills 5 minutes after kickoff. The rain may be a factor, however; hardcore football fans previously filled stadiums in heavy rain and snow storms.

On Sunday, Miami Dolphins wide receivers Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson kicked off their first game one of the NFL season by taking a knee during the National Anthem and Colin Kaepernick celebrated.
The constant protests on the field are destroying the NFL.
The President slammed the NFL on Sunday for their abysmal ratings.
Wow, NFL first game ratings are way down over an already really bad last year comparison. Viewership declined 13%, the lowest in over a decade. If the players stood proudly for our Flag and Anthem, and it is all shown on broadcast, maybe ratings could come back? Otherwise worse!

The NFL went to a paper-less ticket system this season. All tickets were on smart phones. There were lots of problems with fans still outside the stadiums as the 2nd quarter started. And then, there have been lots of empty seats in stadiums with lousy teams for many decades. Atlanta, Oakland, and LA come to mind. If a team is worthy of the play offs that team will more than likely have solid attendance.
Going to a game is a major financial investment now.
Just to see protests before the game, players wearing pink in October, male cheerleaders, overpaid players just cruising through the game, way overpriced food/drinks, loser drunk fans, bad calls, rap music and on and on.
Why?
Deer season starts in a couple of weeks. Much better time to watch nature wake up on a Sunday morning instead of investing time in a NFL game.

Haven't watched a single game in over two years. Used to be a die-hard fan and watched the New England Turncoats and Dallas Cowgirls, until they took their collective masks off and openly showed how much they hate America and hate their own, now former fan base. The only thing they really care about is taking your money while they habitually spit on the flag, the country and us.

The team meetings and/or staff meetings presided over by Garrett are incredibly boring. Shockingly so. Not sure what Jerry thinks Garrett brings to the table but it definitely isn’t leadership. I think I recall Jerry babbling about being “comfortable” with Garrett when he replaced Wade Phillips with Garrett.
Apparently so is the team as they seem half asleep at best.
Garrett is a good Jerry Puppet.
