Heavy rainfall in Calvert County, Maryland over the weekend led to a toothy discovery, the states department of natural resources announced Monday: prehistoric shark teeth.
The shark teeth were unearthed in a creek in Huntingtown, the department said, which called the teeth a cool find and jaws-dropping treasures.
Huntingtown received roughly 8 inches of rain since Saturday, FOX5 reported.
Theyre huge! one Facebook user said of the find.

The road on Cumberland Island National Sea Shore is literally paved with shark’s teeth. The teeth are also common around Charleston SC in dredge fill.
I have a friend really into collecting them and a real collector has them classified by species. There are books on the subject for avid collectors.

A walk on Camp Lejuene’s Onslow Beach or a little further south on Atlantic Beach we would find them strewn all over the place.

If you poke around in the little creeks in central Florida you can find some Megalodon teeth, that’s the really big ones. Smaller ancient sharks’ teeth are pretty easy to find, too.

Would Laz hit it and risk a shark tooth injury?

Great texture and fine symmetry! Perfectly designed for the task, at hand. The teeth man, the teeth!
The backdrop is enough to make a baby cry.
