MSNBC Guest Declares We Must Start ‘Civil War’ If Trump Chooses Conservative SCOTUS

Ever since Maxine Waters encouraged her supporters to publicly harass Trump supporters, liberals have denounced civility and things just keep getting worse. Now, Washington Post columnist and MSNBC Contributor Jennifer Rubin announced that if Trump gets his way with the supreme court, it is time for civil war.

“The people who brought Donald Trump and delivered him to the White House want this [the overturn of Roe], and I think they will not be disappointed. So then the question is, if they’re not able to withstand this onslaught, not able to hold back a justice that would reverse Roe, what happens? In essence, we go to 50 civil wars in each of the states, plus the District of Columbia,” she said.

“And here is where I think the Republicans have badly overplayed their hand. There is no, and I mean no significant constituency for doing what they want to do, which is criminalizing abortion and punishing women and/or doctors. Poll after poll, 67%, 69%, 70% of people want to keep Roe. And what that means is, they want to keep a constitutional protection,” said Rubin.

“If that then goes back to the state legislatures, you’re going to see an uproar. And I think if we haven’t already seen women mobilize through the #MeToo movement, through the election of Donald Trump, through the separation of children, you are going to see even more women in the streets, on the ballot, and voting to throw people out who do not recognize women’s personal autonomy,” said Rubin.

The Right: Hundreds of millions of weapons...CHECK. Trillions of rounds of ammunition...CHECK. Time spent at the gun range...CHECK. The Left: Pussy hats...CHECK. Safe spaces...CHECK. Figuring out which loo to use...CHECK. I think those of us on the Right are good. 😉

Even Rubin doesn't believe this. She d@mn well knows there will be a significant number of states that will prohibit baby-killing and that even in states where it's allowed to continue a sizeable portion of the citizens there will finally have a voice.

No, Rubin's words are just another example of the alternate reality those on the Left live in. And, like most on the Left, she figures that if she really, really, really believes what she writes, and if she says it often enough and -- as important -- loudly enough it will become true! (... and she wants so desperately to be taken seriously.)

In my previous post I forgot to mention that there WAS a recent President who was “Delivered” and just appeared out of nowhere. A man about which there was virtually no information on his past, his background, beliefs, or even a birth certificate. To this day his school records and writings remain hidden.

Egad, what a twit. Or is she just lying? More than likely it is the latter. Who exactly is it who is saying they want to criminalize abortion and punish women and/or doctors?

My opinion is that even with a Conservative SCOTUS pick, Roe v. Wade will remain untouched.

Maybe not.

Women see it as a personal freedom issue, even if they think abortion is a moral evil.

This is legitimate.

I agree that overturning Roe is overreach. You don’t have to make abortion illegal in order to convince people abortion is evil, stupid, and ultimately rare.

I think overturning Roe is an idiotic political objective. Why pick a fight you can win through other means at a lesser cost?

Don't you DARE cast this as "women see it". Women oppose abortion more than men. Try "feminists" see it, libertines see it, moral relativists see it, population control zealots see it ... don't EVER saty "women" see it. I am quite confident that Judge Amy Coney Barrett doesn't "see it".

Roe should be overturned first and foremost because it is a bad decision that goes against the U.S. Constitution. I remember when lawyers couldn't take out TV ads, etc. I hate that they can now, but I do believe that the Court ruled properly that the 1st Amendment allows them to do that. Abortion is not protected by the U.S. Constitution, and it is time for the Court to realize it, "political" consequences be damned.

Leftist talking heads don't know what "war" is.

One overarching aspect of all these braying fools is that they always hold the misconception that they would survive such an ordeal.

Imagine their surprise.

And how much did the MSNBC hosts express agreement with her?
MSNBC is owned by Comcast. If the full blown civil war does start, Comcast will become a target.

You can just imagine how these same hypcritical Liberals would be reacting if our collective reaction to Obama’s SCOTUS victories with Kagan and Sotomayer were to suggest civil war was our next course.

To the hypcrite Liberals ANYTHING they see as right, is right for them but is most often wrong if someone else does the same thing.

The irony of you citing the 1st amendment, and then telling me not to dare make this an issue of personal liberty is, well . . .

My personal position is that its an absolute evil, horrible law, and just another one of a long line of miscarriages committed by the SCOTUS over their long history of underperformance from their inception.

That doesn’t change the fact that many women are uneasy about telling a woman what they can do with their body, which is the way many see it.

Their women, so they aren’t going to look at this objectively. Many who would never get an abortion as still in favor of having the option.

Done right, each state should have come to their own conclusions about it, because you can squint as hard as you like and you can’t see a fundamental right to abortion as something guaranteed by the Constitution, or any of its amendments.

Roe is a distraction. Many, many other things need fixing, and there are other better ways to reduce abortion. Smoking is still legal, and fewer people are doing it, though there will always be people who do it.

Abortion is the same. Women are the gatekeepers of human life on earth, as flawed as that might seem in the grand design of things. God has a reason its that way, and ultimately those personal decisions will have a reckoning.

I’d rather see nine federal departments go away. I’d rather see us stop giving the country away to people that didn’t grow up here by companies that benefit from being here in the US.

Abortion is evil, and murder. It will always be that way. Unfortunately, it is culturally and physically different than when a person uses a gun to take the life of another person.

Abortion is decreasing in the US. It’s seen as evil, and stupid, and if you need one you’re a hot mess skank who won’t handle their s**t.

I see this through my three teenage kids and the kids I serve in the homeless outreach programs I help run.

In prison, crimes against children are still looked upon as something requiring justice beyond that which the courts will allow.

You can reduce abortion without changing Roe. I’d rather see Roe as irrelevant and bankrupt Planned Parenthood, for example. Bankrupting PP is a worthwhile political objective.

They are anti 2A for YOU and ME, not so much for themselves. Like Jane Fonda and her husband at the time, Tom Haden, a CA congressman who, when police came to their home at the report of a burglary, where found in possession of guns. Their reasoning; they have to have guns to protect themselves from all those gun nuts out there.

In short, the USSC via Roe v. Wade became judge, jury and executioner over the most innocent among us - the unborn.

Concise summation of your thoughts, and I a completely agree.

(Someone needs to make that last sentence go viral - it’s true, short, sweet and to the point. Damn I wish it didn’t take me so many words to get there.)

All your words were necessary for your statement FRiend.

I am not suggesting the force of government to back me up. "How dare you" is ALSO acceptable under the First Amendment.

The rest of your post never addresses my central point. Roe is wrong in its decision. Bad decisions like Dred Scott and Row bring about their own bad consequences until the gangrenous parasite pretending to be part of the Constitution is excised.

> They [Antifa] will draw first blood when it is time to inject some fire into the streets. <

Antifa has no problem beating unarmed people with bicycle chains and clubs. I shudder to think about it, but I think you’re right. Antifa’s next step will be using something lethal, bombs and/or guns.

The left has successfully demonized the right. To them, we are no longer just stupid, or wrong. We are now Nazis deserving of the worst.
