During her outburst, Patterson was also reported behaving aggressively towards her employees, grabbing one of them by the arm and refusing to let staffers leave the office. According to the documents, she also threw various items at employees including a reflex hammer and also pulled her diploma off the wall, threw it on the floor and stomped on it.
Employees told Lowndes County officers Patterson may have been under the influence during the time of the incident. She is also suspected of arriving at her practice intoxicated on more than one occasion, documents said.
Pattersons medical license was suspended on March 5 after the GCMB ruled that her practice poses a threat to the public health, safety, and welfare, and imperatively requires emergency action."
Patterson gained her medical license in 1996 after graduating from the Medical College of Georgia in 1995. Before her February incident, she had no disciplinary citations or allegations of misconduct on her record.

Most middle aged adults know by then how they can handle alcohol.
Not menopause alone. Shes probably a self-medicating doctor. Physicians have access to every kind of drug.
Its a stressful job, especially if your personal life isnt great, and some people simply cant bear it.
I remember a certain hospital had the brilliant idea to hire a schizophrenic nurse and a psych hospital. The good news was the patients were think they weren’t nearly as crazy as the biotch, the bad news is the tragic day she went off her meds. The HR heads rolled.
And some people in every walk of life are simply unbalanced, highly strung, and lacking in self-control.

The lady’s actions suggest to me what a bad day at the White House with President Hillary Clinton would have been like.
This Doctor must have been the only actual Doctor-doctor in the office. There may have been Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Aides, but no other Doctors who saw her on a regular basis. Everybody else was below her re: professional training. Perhaps she could have fired any of them at anytime for ‘insubordination’. Therefore, nobody felt bold enough to confront her and ask; “WTF are you doing? You need to go home. Right now!!”
Once on my first visit to a male doctor, I overheard him violently berating someone over the telephone, complaining that he was being overbooked. It was kind of frightening, and I never went back. You expect someone who has attained to that position to have more reason and self-control, as all of my other doctors have seemed to have.
I don’t think he was going through menopause.
So you are saying she likes to bowl?
Hmm. Yes, I do sense a bit of hostility there. Probably too much Facebook.
Perhaps he was being overbooked, and had been for too long. Did he threaten to slit throats and roll heads down the hallway though?
No; but the violence of his fit and his apparent unconcern that waiting patients were overhearing it suggested to me a complete lack of self control necessary to someone in that position.
Why do you assume menopause caused this woman’s break, when the story indicates that she was suspected of showing up intoxicated on other occasions, and there are also other more likely possibilities?
Woah...the crazy is strong in that one.
Tell me about it, my ex was going through menopause the same time my daughter was going through puberty...
What? You don’t want to discriminate against the mentally ill, do you?
During the Clinton administration there were proposals to basically implement quotas.
Prayers up for this lady.
Something is terribly wrong.
Practicing medicine is very draining!
Most people could not handle it.
Gee, I’m glad she’s not a practicing Urologist and Proctologist. Wouldn’t want to see that stuff rolling down the hall.
