The star of “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “The Mask” said on Twitter on Tuesday that he’s dumping his Facebook stock and deleting his page because the social media giant profited from Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election via spreading false news with Russian origins, and says the company is still not doing enough to stop it.
The 56-year-old Carrey encouraged other investors and users to do the same. He ended his tweet with the hashtag “unfriendfacebook.”

I wonder what the psychology on the comedic mind has to say? It is not that I’m a fan of social media, but these Jim Carrey’s remarks sort of remind me of paranoia, or hysteria.
I’ve had a fb account for 4 or 5 years now. I reluctantly got it because it was the only way for us to get messages back and forth from our foster daughter in Belarus. They are not allowed email there. It’s been a blessing we can send messages back and forth quickly and can set up Skype times. She is my only friend and somehow I lucked out and set up the security right to where I get no friend requests or alerts or emails.

Poor ‘ol Jim must be upset that Hillary colluded with the Russians, that the Democrats have been caught in a dastardly plot, and that Hillary gave a bunch of our uranium to the Russians.
Is he mad because they “profited from Russian interference” or because they failed to stop Trump?

If you are using Facebook for communication, you are not participating in their business model, and probably represent a cost to the company.
That lawsuit was dismissed. The family will have to look for a payoff elsewhere.

For once I agree with him.
Deep pockets + ambulance chasing shysters = lawsuits. Regardless of guilt, it's simpler to settle than defend; that's what those leeches depend upon. Chances are the lawyers came looking for mom and ex-hubby, not the other way around.
