Give a dog up. It escapes TWICE and finds it’s way home across 20 miles. And you still don’t take it back and merely send it further away?
Some people shouldn’t be surprised what awaits them in the hereafter.
The story does make it appear they did not want to give her up. We don’t know the health issue but how do you make a landlord accept your pet?
Actually I know the answer. They did’t think to claim the dog as a therapy dog.
You move. When a dog makes that kind of effort to be with you...you move.
"...landlord wont allow it..."
Just HOW do dogs do it? Move 20 miles away to a strange place and then manage (HOW) to find your old home and family.
It will be interesting to see the pooch crossing the Red River...
People stink more than they know.
Oh my gosh.
Just HOW do dogs do it?
People stink more than they know.
You are probably correct!
When my daughter was in college, we played the “Where’s Waldo Coming home game” with our dog...When she would drive home for holiday breaks, etc.,
I would let pooch out in back yard after daughter had parked car in front...While dog was outside in back, daughter would come in the house and hide somewhere in the house.
After she hid, I would let dog in as usual—within seconds he would catch her scent.,..he would raise nose up in the air and he would literally trot/run thru the house until he found her...by her scent ;)
It was fun to watch...
My family is currently outbound to bring a toy poodle puppy home from a breeder, now that she is over 8 weeks old. Luna. 🙂
Are you practicing to get a real poodle some day?
I told her: OMG that is going to be my Italian sneakers.
LoL yes.
Amazing.
Skin cells. Dogs smell the skin cells that slough off our bodies all day.
Dogs that stay home by themselves all day will instinctively move to the front door just before the master returns. I’ve watched my doing when my wife comes home.
I do this to our Corgi all the time. Shes on me like a shadow all day and when I do catch a chance to, I hide from her and let her find me. She gets excited when she wins. LOL.
