The existence of UFOs has "proved beyond reasonable doubt", a former Pentagon official has said.
Luis Elizondo, the former head of a secret US government programme, believes that Earth may well have been visited by alien life via the unidentified aircraft and that there is also proof.
He resigned from the US Department of Defence in October to protest against the excessive secrecy and opposition to the programme he was in charge of.
Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph , he said: "In my opinion, if this was a court of law, we have reached the point of 'beyond reasonable doubt'. I hate to use the term UFO but that's what were looking at.
"I think it's pretty clear this is not us, and it's not anyone else, so one has to ask the question where they're from."
Mr Elizondo could not comment whether or not his team had examined UFO sightings as it was still classified information.
But he told the newspaper there had been "lots" of sightings.
He ran the Advanced Threat Identification Program, funded with £16.5million, from his office in the Pentagon.
The team identified movements and trends that were not like anything else "in the world".
They also discovered "hotspots" during their investigation, which were often near nuclear facilities and power plants.

Feels like the beginning of our government admitting that what happened at Roswell and other locations was indeed real. Just look at the technology explosion since 1947, for instance.
The UFO craze in the 50’s was encouraged in part as cover for the U2 & other high altitude aircraft programs. The more seriously the US authorities appeared to take the phenomenon, the less they looked for more earthly causes. So I’m wondering if something new just went operational?

Browsing through next weeks TV listings, I saw that History Channel will have a 6(!) hour show on Friday titled “Ancient Aliens: Declassified. Program description:
“Plagues and epidemics can be linked to unexplained occurrences, causing researchers to theorize that ETs are behind these dark moments in history; speculation that ancient prophets may have been in communication with alien beings.”
I decided to record it.
In the opinion of our household, 70-95% of the population have little clue about how drastically the result of the goings on in this realm of reality will change their daily lives in key respects--a number of them not fun or wonderful, at all.
So they come a fantastic, unimaginable distance, which implies a technology centuries beyond ours. If they don’t want to make contact why do they let themselves be seen?
With a technology like that they could blanket the Earth with robots so tiny we’d never detect them and learn anything they might want to know. And, what exactly would they want from Earth? With such an advanced technology they could synthesize anything but large breasted women. (I’m not sure why Mars wanted large breasted women, but they did at some point. I saw the movie.)

The transistor was invented at almost the same time. A lot of the “technology explosion” to which you refer is a pretty straightforward development from there.

Where is the probable cause & clear and convincing evidence of the existence of UFO’s? This guy’s getting ahead of himself.

Stand by. It sounds like that is scheduled over the next 30 days. It remains to be seen how dramatic the tangible, sharp video etc. proof will be. We believe you will be convinced. You may well be quite shocked.

What I got from this was an attempt by this fellow to justify the continued existence of a questionable program with him at the head.
