This very well might be the very point of the government failing to release any evidence of a motive; however, we are now beyond truth. What I mean by that is now - no matter what evidence the government releases, most of the people will simply not believe it. I won't. Even if they say it is Isis or a Democrat or both, I wont believe it. In this day and age, there is simply no reson why the FBI doesn't have a confident understanding of his motive. The government literally has access to every communication in our country. They WIRETAPPED THE PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. but they have no clue here. Whatever.
I would suggest using Occam’s Razor as a guide, given your skepticism.

Here is a twitter source who knew and said Paul Manafort was under surveillance LONG before any media outfit reported same.

He has a number of points:
1. A male was in the room with Paddock. He left right before the shooting began.
2. The motive for the shooting was absolutely political. If the film that the shooter made is released, that political motive will be clear and “will absolutely change many things going forward”.
3. If the film of the shooting is not released, that non-release decision will be owing to a fear on the part of the authorities that such release would trigger action by OTHER CELLS.
4. Paddock did plan to escape but that was cut short by the rapid response of the unarmed casino security guy.
5. Paddock mentions in the film being part of a NETWORK but does not specify if that network is AntiFa, or ISIS or any others.
6. A secret digital online profile of Paddock was uncovered about 24 hours ago.

I believe that he did plan to escape. You don’t leave explosives in your car unless you had a plan to use them. If nothing else, keeping them in the car would have been a liability to his meticulously planned mission if he never had any intention of leaving his room alive.

I disagree. A release of Paddock's video would cause the leftist-progressive Antifa-lovers to become vulnerable to retaliatory attacks by American patriots. In other words, the gubmint does NOT want us to know that a DemonRat Antifa/ISIS-sympathizer named Stephen Paddock STARTED A REAL CIVIL WAR AND THEY DON'T WANT US TO KNOW IT BECAUSE OF POSSIBLE PHYSICAL RETALIATION THAT MIGHT BE WAGED AGAINST DEMONRAT PROGRESSIVES AND ANTIFA.
When the government announces something against their interests, it’s likely true.
This would include telling us Paddock was a leftist or islamic.
