I don't think they are worried so much about physical retaliation as they are of the political consequences. The 'Deep State' is deeper than many of us believe. We have an FBI packed with Obama operatives that expect us to believe imaginary right-wing boogiemen are more of a threat than ISIS and AntiFa.
