Not gonna do it. No NFL party. No TV screen with football on it. Kinda chilly. Probably an indoor activity. It may be a good time for a MAGA rally.
Cooking, chores and reading FR on and off in between.
Probably cooking up a pot of my grandmother’s 125 year old recipe for red beans and rice.
I’m writing a sincere hate letter to Roger Godell.
Married ...
Behold the vast fields on which I grew fu&ks and weep, for the fields have been scourged by the BLM, burned by the Antifa and the ground salted by progressives. Fu&Ks will no longer be harvested here!
Shoveling snow seems like a pretty good bet. I certainly won’t be wasting the day watching football.
I agree. I’ve felt too, that often that there are better, more exciting games in the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl, than the Super Bowl itself.
There’s so much hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl. In my opinion it all detracts from the game itself. Which should be the highlight of the season, as it’s the championship game of the NFL.
I’m with you, I’ve often enjoyed the playoff games leading up to the Super Bowl, more than the big game itself.
This year, I may not even watch. Since I’m not paying attention the NFL, I won’t have known how the season unfolded, how the teams got there, etc. So would have no interest in the game just due to that.
What is Superbowl Sunday?
Well if the weather’s good, get out and enjoy that, because it’s so rare .... but if not and you’re on FR anyway, nothing better than some good ol’ NFL-bashing, because slamming incompetence never goes out of style.
But here’s a NEW conspiracy theory for ya ....
This protest mess started with Kapernick, and the NFL execs could have just ordered it stopped, and suspended him if he didn’t comply. But what if they were told not to?
At the time, Obama was still President and Lynch still AG. Given their numerous examples of meddling and intimidation in other instances, who’s to say they didn’t quietly lean on the NFL management to do nothing and let this go on? A big election was coming up, and the Dems needed to stoke the racial fires any way they could, and Ferguson just didn’t catch on, so they needed something new ...
just wondering ....
Anything but watching the Negros, Felons, and Liberals insult me, my race, and my country.
No one in my household has watched a Superbowl in more than a decade.
There’s so much else to do!
I have not watched a full football game on TV in at least a decade.
I have not watched a full basketball game on TV in at least 30 years.
I have not watched a full baseball game on TV in at least 30 years.
I have watched a few hockey games - especially the NHL Winter Classic - but only a few games.
I have watched a tiny bit of Australian Rules Football and Gaelic football and Hurling.
I watched the second half of the World Cup game between Germany and Brazil - but only because I heard the Germans were CRUSHING Brazil in historic proportions.
Personally, I think pro-sports (and really sports on TV in general) just bread and circuses and largely a waste of time.
I’ll probably be watching Rugy from Fiji or NZ, or watching anime on crunchyroll dot com. Good stuff coming back out from the olden days, like “Gun X Sword”
What I do now...spend some time working on my spiritual condition then I will take a drive in the north woods and fine a little diner to have a bite to eat
Rug-BY. duh...
Same here. Just sat down from washing up some dishes and will get to the pots and pans when those dry. Yeah, the dishes have piled up as the old knee has been giving me fits this weekend. Then it'll be clearing out what needs to be eaten in the fridge for dinner. Grilled cheese and smoked turkey sandwiches, veggies sticks with dip and fruit salad.
Mr. football is napping with a bowl of grapes in front of the tv but it isn't on a game. He swore off the NFL. I might need to sneak some grapes for the fruit salad tonight.
The same thing I did last year......Puppy Bowl!!!
Joe Lockhart, the leagues executive vice president of communications since January 2016, has instituted an in-your-face approach learned in part from his days as White House press secretary under President Bill Clinton. The change has led to a more open and accessible NFL that is not afraid to mix it up.

We’ll also be watching British mysteries. We have saved a season of Inspector Morse for such occasions.
I suspect performers will be “taking the knee” during half-time or some sort of crap to show their unity with the NFL “protesters”.
I will be watching the Die Hard trilogy
