The 2018 Miss America Competition takes place this Sunday. 51 women from Alabama to Wyoming will compete for the crown in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The 97th annual competition will air on ABC Sunday, September 10 at 9 p.m. and be hosted by "Bachelor" host Chris Harrison and ESPN's Sage Steele. Jordin Sparks, Maria Menounos, and Molly Sims will be amoung the event's celebrity judges.
Before the competition kicks off, get to know the women who will be vying for the crown.

Keep in mind that you can’t always judge a person’s looks by a single photo. Some of the most beautiful women in the world can appear so-so in a mediocre photo. Granted, these were pics that were meant to show them at their best, and that they likely personally approved them, but still.

As a bloc, the Southern gals have it all over the rest though the northern Midwest states are a close second and a few from California, Delaware etc. are very pretty too.

Yup, I see 51 lbs of makeup and a dozen cans of hairspray. I did see a couple that might look ok, as in the nice down home look, without makeup but I imagine they’re all very vain.
Since I live in Idaho, I’ll second that emotion.

I could go down to the corner store at 3:45 in the morning here in New York and see at least one prettier girl than that. She’s definitely good looking, though.
Out of the 50, Ms. IA is the one whose face I had the hardest time finding fault with as I did a very hard, critical judgment as if I were judging and the only thing that mattered were the faces. They are all, nonetheless, quite beautiful and beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
