For months, we’ve been chronicling Joe Scarborough’s increasingly anti-Trump statements. As Morning Joe host Scarborough called the president a “schmuck” and a “jackass,” and repeatedly questioned the president’s mental health, as here and here.
Scarborough now appears to have hit rock-bottom [excuse the pun], with his release of a music video portraying Joe with co-host and fiancée Mika Brzezinski observing a nightmarish anti-Trump mash-up.

Was it just the Mika Effect, or has living in Manhattan/Connecticut for many years, and working at MSNBC, made him more interested in being liked in his circle than in standing up for his principles?

Well, did he really ever have any principles to begin with? Or was he just reflecting what he thought his constituents in the Florida Panhandle wanted in a congressman?
I suspect it was the money more than anything. Once he got used to making Big Money (relative to what a congressman makes), he did whatever necessary to keep the gravy flowing.
In other words, his price was met.
I don’t want to watch the video but could someone send me the clip of the part where the cops find the cute dead young intern in Joe’s office the next morning?
Having much experience with the rock & roll scene I jus say this is very poor written, recorded and over dubbed.

The only mental health I’d be questioning is his (Scarborough’’s).
But he’s not alone. I was at an academic conference this week and virtually every speaker - on a totally unrelated topic - started with an attack on Republicans. interestingly, except for a few sniggering remarks about the color orange (supposed to represent Trump), they actually attacked Republicans and people who voted Republican. Bizarre and very unnerving. it’s like it’s now considered criminal or subversive to be a Republican. And here we all are thinking the GOP is too wussy - not to the Dems, academia and the media , apparently.

I was at a wedding two weeks ago. A professor who is also a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and a friend of the bride’s family was asked to prepare a poem in honor of the wedding couple.
It immediately began with an attack on Trump, calling him, among other things, a “lubricious lizard.”
Gosh, I wouldn’t have to work but one or two weeks a year to get well!!
Blowback is funny, Joe.
Joe and Mike worked hard to get Trump the nomination, thinking he’d be the most likely to lose.
