You can suspect a guy all you want, but when he’s in foreign nations and getting a lot of over the top respect, it hits you in the face that he’s a lot better person than you thought.
Obama was a “class clown” on his trips abroad. Those people in the photos where he bowed, their expressions tell the whole story. What the “H” is this guy doing? He was a fool, and anyone paying attention knew it.
He detested his own nation, trashed it at will... Who respects that? NOBODY! He was a fool and everyone knew he was a fool.
Trump is getting praises heaped on him for real and tangible reasons. He’s not making boorish comments to get them. He’s not trashing our nation.
He has met with traditional allies and enemies alike. He treats them all with respect, and hopes to secure real and meaningful relations with all of them. What’s more, he just might do it.
The news media that tried to portray him as some sort of fool, it’s on them now. He’s proving them wrong, a bunch of disgusting liars. Good luck when the public realizes how they have been gamed.
democrats and progressives are of their father, the devil. Every damned one of them. Quite a few republicans, as well.
It would be in the 70s if the media didn’t have the constant hate Trump drumbeat.
+ 110%
Minus 21 a week ago, now minus 11 on Rasmussen...anyone want to speculate on the reason(s)?
I think Big Media will never allow that number to hit 50%.
Yep. In addition to Rasmussen and PPD, the Harvard-Harris poll also has the approval at 45%.
The MSM polls (NBC, Reuters, etc) are completely discredited at this point.
“anyone want to speculate on the reason?”
Every time there is a media frenzy over some phony scandal Trump’s numbers take a temporary hit and always bounce back.
We saw this all the time during the campaign and continue to see it now. The Comey firing was the latest phony scandal.
They will have no choice, just as they had no choice on election night.
what JBW1949 said.
astute observation.
suffering will continue until it is politically expedient.
...as evil as that is.
That is perfect PROCON.
>The only real hope is when outrage fatigue sets in and even the old media is more or less forced to look at accomplishments.
It’s already set in. More and more people are demanding sources instead of unnamed officials. They’re going to have to manufacture something soon or they’ll lose all credibility. I’d expect the Crisis to reach it’s peak by August and either Trump will and destroy the media or he’ll be removed from office.
“Trump’s approval ratings don’t matter because the same people who told us Hillary was going to win by LARGE NUMBERS are the people who tell us about his ‘approval ratings’ now.
I didn’t trust them then - I don’t trust them now...”
I am saying the Establishment won’t be more supportive, but his approval ratings being low could hurt his agenda.
Here is what the Deep State really fears. What if we don't actually miss a "functioning" Federal government?
“...it looks like a lot of people approve of sending Comey packing.”
Given that Trump is best known for the phrase “You’re fired!”, - who knows how much that had to do with his getting elected?
I know, he promised to build a wall, and put America first, etc. and that’s supposed to be what got him elected - but I think there was an unspoken promise that had a lot to do with his winning - that he would use his catch phrase a lot. I know that’s what I’m counting on - even more than the wall.
I figure if you fire enough government employees all of the other problems will take care of themselves. As Reagan said; “government isn’t the solution to the problem, government IS the problem”.
I hope he fires tens of thousands of ‘em.
Trump’s approval rating should be well above 50; however, the MSM’s continual attacks on him don’t help.
I wish this would sink in, but the MSM minions are largely on the payrolls of Disney, Comcast, Time Warner, and CBS. Once conservatives stop paying these companies to piss in their shoes, things will change.
Win...I bet it is even more than that...
Trump is at 48% with likely voters that’s basically what he got in the last election. In other words holding steady. I think there is one thing that is throwing this off a bit . He’s lost some of his republican voters that voted for for him and I think they are unhappy because nothing big has passed yet. They will come back. So he is probably over the magic number 50. Hard to imagine with all the negativity directed at him.
BTTT!
