Allman Brothers Band drummer Butch Trucks fatally shot himself in front of his wife in Florida, according to law enforcement records.
The legendary drummer, 69, had been dogged by financial woes for years, The Mail reported, citing local court records.

Id say the impact of the fight was catastrophic to one of them. You seemed to overlook that. Dont sweat the guy that is dead. Just worry about the other person. LOL Really?
The reason is simple: We are not responsible for how others treat us, necessarily, but we are ALWAYS responsible for how we respond to it, be it suicide, hitting, screaming, biting, withholding sex, making faces, you name it.
And that is very empowering.
Just damn....
aww that is terrible.
Those that dont go through bad times, are very fortunate indeed.
I speak from personal experience.
The site you post sets off my virus protector....it won’t let me go there....full of ‘mailicious malware’.
I don’t know why, but tragedy follows the Allman Bros.
May he RIP.

Trucks was not a druggie.
Lord, I was born a “family” man,
Tryin’ to make a livin’ and doin’ the best I can.
And when it’s time for leavin’,
I hope you’ll understand,
That I was born a ramblin’ man.
My father was a gambler down in Georgia,
And he wound up on the wrong end of a gun.
And I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus
Rollin’ down highway 41.
Lord, I was born a ramblin’ man,
Tryin’ to make a livin’ and doin’ the best I can.
And when it’s time for leavin’,
I hope you’ll understand,
That I was born a ramblin’ man.
I’m on my way to New Orleans this mornin’,
Leaving out of Nashville, Tennessee,
They’re always having a good time down on the bayou, Lord
Them Delta women think the world of me.
Lord, I was born a ramblin’ man,
Tryin’ to make a livin’ and doin’ the best I can.
And when it’s time for leavin’,
I hope you’ll understand,
That I was born a ramblin’ man.
Isn't that the truth. Doubt (and regret) has been my constant companion for a long time.
It’s nothing more than delusion.
Something happened to make that man so despondent he couldn’t face living.
You dismiss it as if you knew exactly what transpired. You don’t. You DO NOT know the words and the meanings conveyed.
That’s not just wrong, it’s beyond childish.
There are different levels of bad times.
There are different levels of ability to cope with them.
Sure, lay it off on the guy who is dead. It prevents you from having to grasp what his last thoughts were, the utter despair.
You’re not nearly as adept at grasping this situation as you think you are.
That only shows that you are a caring considerate person.
You assess yourself. Sometimes you do it where you don’t carry all the blame, and sometimes you assess more blame to yourself than you should.
While this causes a lot of pain, at least you’ll go through life actually feeling, while others praise themselves for not feeling and being outrageously clueless.
All the best to you.
Sad story, but I’ve got to say... that’s a SELFISH JERK of a thing to do, no matter how much you hate someone.
If you must off yourself, let your last event be one that minimizes the hurt on your family.
BTW: You can’t change a thing in your life, but where that next foot is placed. Choose well, and live in peace.
.
This wasn’t about ‘coping,’ it was a coward’s revenge on his wife.
I hope she has the strength not to accept the blame.
.
I'm not sure what that means.
I know that gay males have a higher suicide rate than straight males.
But gay males also have a higher rate for clinical depression and addiction, too.
The one suicide I kind of get was Robin Williams’ after hearing about the terrible shape he was in.
