CLYDEBANK, SCOTLAND—BBC News reports that Kenny Brophy of Glasgow University is leading a team of researchers in a new study of the Cochno Stone. “This is the biggest and, I would argue, one of the most important Neolithic art panels in Europe,” he said. The stone, which measures about 26 feet by 42 feet and is located in an urban area, was buried in 1965 to protect it from the weather, foot traffic, and vandals who carved graffiti into its surface. As a first step, the team is uncovering the stone. Then they will use 3-D imaging technology to record its cup and ring marks, and produce a life-size copy. The facsimile will include the prehistoric surface and the pre-1965 graffiti.

Hmmm. Reminds me of crop circles.
That’s not simple Neolithic rock art. That’s some sort of celestial map.
Looks like semen hitting eggs to me.
Later graffito translates to "Let's party like the Witch Queen is dead!"
Maybe the aliens left it as a map to where they come from.
It would be a simple matter now to digitize the map and have it compared to the actual sky map, with adjustments for 5000 years of movements..................
All I see revealed is a shallow hole in the ground that is too shallow to protect any stone from rain or being dug up by animals.
Simple solution. It’s the plans for crop circles.

I can almost guarantee you that lots of interested researchers are way ahead of us, and are already working towards doing just that.
I’ll bet the implications of their findings will be mind boggling. The archaeological record on this planet is chock full of artifacts and evidence that doesn’t fit the accepted paradigm of hardened academia.
