Anyone else here a little disappointed in Mark Levin? I listened to him yesterday to see if he was on board supporting Trump, and he just kept on defending the little man.
He was calling Chris Christie and Huckabee sell outs to the establishment for supporting Trump and attacking what Cruz did.
He said Cruz didn't break his oath, because there was no oath to be broken. (I have no idea what he means by that).
He kept on saying Reagan never endorsed Ford in 76 although alas has shared some YouTube videos of it.
What do you guys make of this guy?
Totally agree with you.
Many people, including many who have always identified themselves as “conservative”, finally have had it with politicians (including CRUZ, RUBIO, PAUL) when they campaigned SOLELY, and EXCLUSIVELY, on “CONSERVATIVE PRINCIPLES” (what the hell does that even mean anymore), when after all of these years we’ve all been so jaded now by the fact that so many politicians have trashed their ‘conservative’ principles no sooner than they get into office.
Of course many of us support upholding ‘constitutional principles’... but the time has long past to just campaign on such a lofty ideal....we are STARVING for real and true RESULTS that will get this country of this death spiral of OPEN BORDERS and ECONOMIC RAPE by the Global interests.
He is a fine conservative that really doesn’t like Trump. He should condemn Cruz for failure to endorse. His purist ideology on the constitution keeps him from doing so. Bad form, bad play.
He can support Romney but not Trump? Stupid and stubborn.
Very disappointed with Levin, yes. Our ship is sailing and he’s still trying to scuttle it. Bought off by Hillary?
I hope you change your tag line soon.... ;-)
It is an amazing thing, how our perceptions change - and I'm sure there is a bit of "reality changing" underneath that, too. I'm sure Trump isn't quite as "real deal" as I think right now, but damn he's good. I have ZERO qualm with voting for him, and this is a first in my 40 or so years of voting. I guess it's more than no qualms, I actually jazzed that Trump could make a substantial (and good) difference.
As for Levin, I used to like him, now I dislike him. No big deal to me, and I'm sure it is no big deal to him either.
He’s a smart guy, but look closely at his career track record. He’s spent nearly his entire adult life working in government and in the media. He probably hasn’t had a productive job in his life, which means he can’t relate to the issues that are faced by productive, working Americans.
Medved is a local guy here in the land of Seattlunatics and I’ve listened to him for years. He used to be invincible in his slice~n~dice of leftists and was a great joy to “watch”. Throat cancer bumped him off the network for a spell and his impatience with listeners - especially right-sided listeners - became strident upon his return. He is unlistenable now and I doubt that I will ever go back.
I did call in to his show to ask him why he was deliberately alienating his audience but they declined to allow me on-air.
I was a daily downloader of his show podcast. He became a lunatic and I became an ex listener.
something to do with breaking another man’s rice bowl
These lazy radio jocks will be exposed to having fostered liberalism simply to fill up their bank accounts by bitching about liberalism, yet they live like liberals..They are like preachers for hire. I over my life time wasted too much of my time and money on the JOKERS...
I want to see the self serving cabal of fake conservatives digging ditches.
Ted Cruz included. His claims he follows the ‘original intent’ of OUR Constitution is a LIE!
Just another sleazy lawyer supporting a fellow sleazy lawyer. He has nothing of value to contribute.
Pray America wakes
He forgets also that a Cruz front group that coordinated with Ted attacked Trumps’s wife first.
Mark showed us something about him many don’t like. As his radio show fades he is going the full Beck and attempting to sell subscriptions to a new internet TV show before the radio one is over.
Got an extra $60 or so to support Mark’s continued attacks?
Rush came right up to the line at one point as well but mostly backed off.
“According to ..Levins vitriol has cost him about 45% of his listenership since the 4th quarter of 2015”
Wow, that’s about 1.5x what I would have guessed. I still have a lot of respect for the guy and don’t think this particular irritation (though huge, nearly fatal for me) I have with him makes him a HRC supporter or a globalist or anything else. I don’t “call” him anything for this thing he’s done.
He’s just taken on the quality of a really loud, annoying power tool being operated in the next room and I don’t care to hear it.
“Bought and paid for?”
Nah. The problem with Levin is he is a pure Conservative. Trump isn’t a pure Conservative like Cruz and Levin is still stuck on stupid. This election isn’t about Conservatism. It is about Nationalism and we cannot get back to Conservatism without first getting past Hillary and bringing back some basic values.
This is pissing off the Constitutionalists.
Like Michael Savage, he is no dummy, and used to on occasion say something insightful, but is essentially a bitter and unpleasant pissed off little man impressed with his own intelligence and utterly lacking in the optimism and faith in the future and the common man that is the real infectious strength of conservatism.
I don’t care how brilliant the presenter or vital the message, I hate whiners.
I promise a new one on November 9th!!!
I used to enjoy listening to him on my hour commute home. Now I listen to my flash drive.
And how. I started out a year ago leaning Cruz, thinking he’s a fighter that understands the Constitution and the fight we’re in. And while I was impressed with Trumps entering speech, I was cautious; seemed biblically near illiterate, an east coast player, adulterer, whatever.
Now Cruz seems petty, self aggrandizing, and has clearly reneged on his word, just like all the other bastards we sent to DC with clear marching orders. Utterly feckless, and the do what they want when push comes to shove.
So I ended up voting Trump in the California primary.
Your post sounds 100% identical to my #17 in different words. You remember it too....the Roger Stone attack on his kid working for Cruz was the precise moment he flipped.
Since that day, that moment, Mark is on this immutable anti-Trump jihad and he just can not get off it. I could understand him being pissed off for a week.
We here have all known that Krispy Kreme and Mike Huckabee are big RINO fakes since well before this election season. Before Trump ever got in the race.
That they want to attach themselves to Trump now, like tics, doesn’t mean they are suddenly good or have seen the light. Christie was brutal in his condemnation of Trump. Typical politicians who have no core values and can change positions at the drop of a hat if it better serves their personal needs.
Concerning Levin, he has issues with Trump and says so. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
The interesting thing, if not ironic, is that Levin as much as anyone set the stage and helped create the environment for Trump to succeed. Levin’s incessant legitimate criticism of the GOPe hit home showing the ineffectualness of the GOPe/RINO crowd. Trump’s campaign embodied the response to their weakness and failures that Levin (and others) made so apparent.
