Glenn Beck Channels Mormon Prophecy in Utah for Cruz: ‘Body of the Priesthood’-'Constitution Hangs’

But it’s something that this crowd needs to hear – that Utah needs to hear. The body of the priesthood is known to stand up when the Constitution hangs by a thread,” Beck said. ...

“I joined many times. What held me through was the prophesy that the Constitution will hang by a thread, and this People would remember what our Founders did. It is our responsibility to stand for the Constitution,” Beck said.

Ted Cruz and the audience then gave Beck a standing ovation.

The famous Mormon prophecy Beck was referring to is known as the “White Horse Prophesy,” which was purportedly made by the Mormon founder Joseph Smith in 1843.

The disturbing aspect of this disservice Cruz is perpetuating as part of his own motives to win a nomination, is bickering between religions, and now it is abundantly clear that he will resort to anything at this juncture simply to win and thus save face since he has led too many by means of implying but which now has become a belief of many of his supporters who have been led down a path believing he is personally chosen and anointed by Jesus to win this election, and the disservice is that he is essentially now running a religious campaign and not a political campaign, and the problem with that is then the discussions descend into sectarian point and counterpoint on various doctrines or nuances of one religious view verse another that then snowball into competitions, rivalry, arguments, scriptures and interpretations and dogmas and rituals and altars and saints and apparitions and ghosts and burials of the dead and raptures and on and on and then fighting with each other about things that America has no interest in as far as the issues of the election in 2016 which are the economy and jobs, immigration and terrorism.

But now Cruz is in big trouble, because if he doesn’t get the nomination after getting too many to think he is destined by Jesus Christ as the Chosen of the End Times and suddenly a bunch of people realize they are NOT living in the period of the most important moment in the Holy Calendar of all human existence and thus thereby feel self-important and “special”, and that Cruz is NOT a prophetic Chosen One, opps, some folks are going to really be upset, they may even think Jesus is mad at Cruz or even Cruz is the Devil, God knows, this could have a very, very bad ending. They may even think Jesus is punishing them, that they were worshiping a golden cow or even a gold-plated goat idol like, oh, a Cruz.

So Cruz is going to do whatever it takes not to let these folks down, I mean it’s going to be more than embarrassing otherwise.

And now made worse by the likes of Glenn Beck who is mentally disturbed and likely bipolar and I do not mean that as a joke or name calling, with Beck now mainlining his religious cult fixations on prophecy of a “imminent” nature and the examplar of those children and adults who have deep set problems that demand constant “urgent” attention to themselves from others - this is rooted in the need to not feel left alone or they will die or something and so anything to get others to look at them and that way they feel more safe in that by grabbing their gaze through cries of “dragons!” they have someone looking at them in case they stub their toe or have a bad tummy ache and who would comfort them with a softy toy or pillow and a cup of warm milk.

So now the Mormon prophecy thing with Cruz being the center of the world of such prophecy, now this is getting real bad - real, real bad. Where this is going isn’t going to be very “comfortable” for some who got themselves as half as much deluded as that psychopath Beck, the Beckers can always and will blame someone else, but the half-deluded will likely blame themselves and turn from the world at some point as damaged and ashamed and spend even more time arguing religious iotas and nuances of why and what went wrong and who will go to hell for the rest of their life right up to the graveyard. No one will be interested in hearing the “prophets” and “true” (whatever) fight with each other and move onto 2020 and just want to “get away from” the “odd balls” who now suffer just because one guy and the egging on from his Holy father (with an undercase f as in Cruz’s dad) got on the Holy Mountain as Berker types demand they bow before the goat or go to hell.

One of the weirdest things to me is that a few years back, Beck said his wife wanted to raise their kids in an organized religion and Beck said “ok, pick one”. He said he was raised Catholic but had lost his way during his drinking years. He said he believed in God and Jesus as savior and thought his wife would pick a good church to attend. This was when he was semi-sane. Now he seems to gone crazy and embraced a religion he didn't use to have any interest in. What is his wife like? Is she as nutty? Or worse?

You and Tennessee Nana have done an immense service in this thread today in exposing the cult of Mormon for the blasphemous God-defying lie that it is.

The very existence of such a text as ‘The Book of Mormon’ is an affront to God’s Word as given to mankind by His TRUE prophets and servants, for in Revelation 22 we are warned of the penalties for adding to, or taking from, the Words of God.

The Book of Revelation is the last and final book of the Bible, and Joseph Smith (as explained in Nana’s #180) was a foul and vile false prophet, killing and raping at will, just like that other false prophet Muhammad whose insane rantings have deluded the adherents of Islam and led millions of people astray and away from Almighty God.

I will go so far as to suggest that (applying the principle of Satanic counterfeits), that just as God’s Word speaks of Two Witnesses in the final days of mankind who will preach God’s Word, that Muhammad and Joseph Smith could very well be Satan’s demonic imitations intended to deceive many.

I'm saying a former Bishop has -no- influence over other Mormons. No more than anyone else has influence.

Past callings are generally not a topic that's discussed. Because...why would it be? Probably 99% of the Church has no idea what callings Mitt Romney has ever had. It's not a taboo subject, it's just something we do all our lives. I live in Colorado and in our city there a lot of Mormons and a lot of Church buildings. We even have a new temple opening this year. There are three different wards that meet in my building alone. Generally there are at least 3 in every building. I couldn't tell you the names of the Bishops in the wards in my building.

Now, regarding Mormon Glenn Beck, I was trying to find out if he was a bishop, or had some other elevated status within the Mormon church (either active or retired/released), which might cause some Mormons to hold his exhortations relating to voting choices in higher regard.

Probably 98% of the Church has never heard of Glenn Beck. We don't sit around waiting for someone to tell us who to vote for.

I've known members of my Church that were dems in Mass when Mitt was there. They hated him. They were single issue voters. Teacher's union types. They hated every Republican.

In my family, the support for the nominee is split between Cruz and Trump. And for all the reason that are echoed on this forum.

Most are supporting Cruz because they believe he is the strictest conservative. And because of his belief in God.

When you don't have an actual prophet to interpret the words of other prophets, well, you unfortunately get the "trinity" doctrine.

When Jesus was on the cross and cried out "my God why hast thou forsaken me.." If Jesus is God, how could he forsaken Himself...and wouldn't He know the answer...why would He have to cry out?...

Jesus and God the Father are not the same person.

Why not suppose instead that God will again impose adversity instead of prosperity in order to drive nations to seek him? Babylonian captivity, centuries enslaved in Egypt, and alternating evil kings with better kings are just a few of the ways God challenged the Israelites.

God has better plans for us than just earthly power and earthly wealth, which Americans are so proud of that they often don’t seek God.
