VIDEO UNEARTHED=> Pastor Calls for Execution of Gays – Then Introduces Ted Cruz at Conference
GP ^ | 03/14/16 | Jim Hoft

In November Senator Ted Cruz appeared at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa, where he courted the support of the conference’s organizer, Colorado-based pastor and radio host Kevin Swanson.

Cruz was introduced on the stage by Pastor Kevin Swanson – after he called for the execution of gays at the conference.

Kevin Swanson: Yes, Romans Chapter 1 verse 32 the Apostle Paul does says that homosexuals are worthy of death. His words not mine! And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God. And I am willing to go to jail…

Now my friends let me introduce to you the next candidate for the office of President of the United States, folks please make welcome Senator Ted Cruz.

That seems a bit extreme. No?

Ted’s father Rafael also spoke at the conference.

At the same conference Pastor Swanson begged God to forgive America for Harry Potter.

Cruz spoke *before* this man. Indeed, he spoke the day *before* this man, along with other Presidential candidates.

If someone says goofy things during an event in which Trump appears, are we free to condemn Trump? No. We can’t. It’s not fair in Trump’s case, and it’s not fair in Cruz’s case.

In this case it would seem that in Cruz’s zeal to court “ evangelicals” his staff failed to differentiate among the spectrum and vet his campaign associations and step back from preachers who use liberal bible quotes to justify death for sexual practices

Well from my past experience with Evangelicals, that would likely be all of them. Funny people those. They take the bible seriously. :)

Do you personally believe that homosexuals should be put to death for their sins?

This is old news, and the pastor DID NOT say that homosexuals in society should be executed.

This was a leftist hit job.

Of course not

But if Trump appeared at an event sponsored by David Duke or the KKK then it would show poor political judgement regardless of what any of the speakers said.

Cruz should have gotten better advice about this event’s sponsors ... If he ever ends up as the GOP nominee he’ll blow it for all of us with this type of association

I think that if it weren't for modern medicine, that is exactly what would happen in most cases.

Oh so I am sure you are okay with Muslims calling for the execution of Christians because after all it says it in the Kuran????

What are you stupid?

Calling for the execution of anyone because you don’t care for their lifestyle YES IS NUTS!

It’s anti American to want to kill someone out because you disagree with them.

When you say someone is “worthy of death”.

That’s calling for them to be killed. You can say it’s not, but that’s debatable that most people would disagree with you about.

Actually for Christians, this is used to justify murdering anyone. This is referring to death of the soul, far more serious BTW, IOW the person is going to hell.

Perhaps you are confusing Christians with Muslims?

Look, he did appear at this conference. So did his Dad.

No matter what, Cruz has to disavow this because it is toxic.

Read them all, have you?

No, not all. Didn't have the stomach for that. Did you real them all? And if so, are they terribly dissimilar to each other? Do tell us all about that. And more to the point: You don't seem to be arguing about the witchcraft, obscene blasphemy, and homosexuality.

(Is that the part you liked?)

“Do you personally believe that homosexuals should be put to death for their sins?”

Since there is no way to prove who is a homosexual, that would be a more horrible situation than it even sounds. It would be a modern equivalent of witch burning.

I’m sure Ted knows that well.

After all Ted Cruz blamed Trump for Move On and BLM attacking his rally.

The Canadian Ted took the side of radical Leftist. So I am sure he is not going to have a problem DISAVOWING his association with this guy.

Yes, Swanson is a fringe kook. I’d never heard of him before but most of the other groups supporting the conference are well known for their efforts to oppose the pro-homosexual agenda and have defended people like the Oregon couple that were persecuted for not wanting to bake the gay wedding cake.

That’s because it is not my place to inflict those views on society. I don’t want anti-theists inflicting their bile on society either.

You would be shocked at the Biblical and theological references in the books.

More I read about Rafael Cruz the father, the more it seems fringe kook might be an apt description

Not that a son can control his father or has to turn out the same way but Geeez, this is going to be pure gold for the democrats once they turn on Cruz and we have already seen how noble and brave are the GOPee in supporting their own ( especially when really really don’t like him)

The headline doesn’t match the content. He never called for the execution of gays. He cited a Bible verse that said they will die.

Just some fake and inaccurate reporting.

The usual from the msm.
