In November Senator Ted Cruz appeared at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa, where he courted the support of the conference’s organizer, Colorado-based pastor and radio host Kevin Swanson.
Cruz was introduced on the stage by Pastor Kevin Swanson – after he called for the execution of gays at the conference.
Kevin Swanson: Yes, Romans Chapter 1 verse 32 the Apostle Paul does says that homosexuals are worthy of death. His words not mine! And I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And I am not ashamed of the truth of the word of God. And I am willing to go to jail…

Ted’s father Rafael also spoke at the conference.
At the same conference Pastor Swanson begged God to forgive America for Harry Potter.

The headline doesn’t match the content. He never called for the execution of gays. He cited a Bible verse that said they will die.
I’ve heard a liberal atheists say the exact same thing about the Bible verse. Funny how people spin it.

That’s calling for them to be killed. You can say it’s not, but that’s debatable that most people would disagree with you about.

I think it was very, very poor judgment on Cruz’ part IF he did indeed actually hear and understand what the man said and did not offer some admonition or disclaimer in his subsequent talk about it. I’d put this in the same barrel as Cruz’ inexplicable embracing of Glenn Beck as a supporter - even to the point of parroting through a mock Oath of Office with that insane twit.
Regardless, I VOTED FOR TRUMP and will vote for him in the general election if he is the nominee, but we have to realize that the day before critical elections are times of great import indeed that need to be taken with a healthy dose of salt considering the source.
In conclusion, I agree. This isn’t something that should be taken as to imply Cruz anything of the sort with this pastor. If anything, Ted did not make “a good choice.”

What they ignored or suppressed about Obama’s Jeremiah wright they will use ferociously against Cruz and his more extreme backers

Not only will Cruz lose ( not just on this issue) but imagine the blows the democrats will inflict on Christians and the Bible if they win again and manage to use this stuff in a national campaign - another 4 years of their leadership and the Bible may become officially banned as hate speech

I saw this on the Internet a few times also. I didn’t give it much credibility. Sadly, Cruz fans post every piece of trash they can find on Trump regardless of who wrote it, so this piece is as worthy. I do have problems with a man like Cruz’s father and his Cuban BS war stories plus this chosen one is a bit deep for me.

I believe in freedom for all people to express themselves freely whether they are gay or religious.
Dissing this guy for quoting the Bible is a slippery slope taking us to the hate crime police state actions going on in Canada, the UK and Europe.
A poor constable in Edmonton, Canada was killed last year when he was sent out to arrest a ‘hate criminal’ at his home and knocked on the door.
The poor man classified at a ‘hate criminal’ lost his wife and business in recent years and used lethal force shooting through the door when it was knocked on. The shooter also killed himself.
