A long-time political insider just made a bombshell announcement about conservative Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), who is running for President.
This Republican operative, who has worked on 9 different presidential cycles, couldnt keep it quiet any longer after being in talks with key leaders of Cruzs and Senator Marco Rubios (R-FL) campaigns.
The insider is Roger Stone. He once worked for Donald Trump, and passed along his report to a popular radio host that Cruz used a high-priced attorney to confidentially request that Rubios team promise Cruz a Supreme Court appointment in exchange for Cruz exciting the race. This is in addition to recent reports that the candidates wives have been in contact, discussing why someone dropping out is essential.

Guess Ted has decided to help the GOPe’s toadie Rubio.
The anti-GOPe can't afford a divided vote.
Won’t help Rubio so it is pointless.
If Cruz drops out, then his choice is either to:
1) Endorse Trump
2) Endorse Rubio
3) Refuse to endorse at all.
Doubtful. It doesn’t look like Rubio has a shot with or without Cruz, so why would Cruz drop?
Gong to be an interesting day.
...said a Carson operative
Best news in a year at least. Get that sleaze off our tv and out of the primary.
Roger Stone worked for Trump, if this is all b.s, will we hear how terrible it is for a campaign to spread such disinfo?
It’s a trick!
He’s going to get out if he loses Texas and endorse Rubio.
The Uniparty must be preserved!
When that doesn’t work we will see Mitt Romney run as third party to split the R vote and get Hillary elected.
The GOPe agrees with Hillary across the board anyway. They want to keep congress and then blame Hillary if anything goes wrong. Job security.
I heard from a source (don’t know how reliable at all) that Ted has no events scheduled for after Tues. Can you confirm or deny?
Hopefully the “Trump’s my 2nd choice” supporters will flock to Trump and give him a super-majority over Rubio.
This could just be turn-abouts-dirty-tricks. The writer does mention the episode with Carson in Iowa.
On the other hand, if he doesn’t do well on Tuesday, there isn’t much point in continuing the contest. He doesn’t need to win, but he needs to do well enough to be credible.
Alas many here will.
If the reports are true he told Rubio he would drop out for a Supreme Court nomination, then that’s that, Ted sold his support to Rubio....
We’ll see if those reports are true soon enough.
You’re exactly right, Jim. Cruz is not dropping out. This is just another lie to take the votes away from Cruz.
I’ve said all along, Cruz’s only semblance to a Religious man, would be his playing the role of Judas Iscariot.
I knew it! I said it!
