More and more it seems a real possibility that Mittens might get into the race.
Rubio is a little shaky and The Establishment is getting a little desperate.
How would you react? If you encountered a neighbor you really liked, what would you say about this?
Would you vote for another Republican again..?

I would go from being very skeptical and doubtful about Trump to pro-Trump.

OK... maybe that's so. But, how come we here talk of Biden being injected on the Dem side if Hillary gets indicted? Haven't their deadlines passed as well?
In other words, if we get to the GOP convention and the first vote isn't conclusive (i.e., Trump has more than 1237 delegates), can't anyone's name be placed in nomination?
Maybe he should get the YEB! campaign to help out.
I can't see any of us who support Trump moving to Romney.

If Romney gets in, it’s over for the US and it is time to head to Chile or New Zealand.
I would donate the maximum to Trump.
I would volunteer at a Trump “Get Out the Vote” office.
I would protest at every Romney event in the TriState area.
In addition, I would get off Free Republic and spend all available time doing anything I could to deflate the Romney campaign.

Romney would be preferable to Rubio. At least Romney’s competent. Rubio can go straight to hell.
I would just ignore the speedbump of Mitt’s temporary presence. Kind of sad. Mitt is addicted to the zen of ‘running for president’, just like Ahab going after Moby Dick. Full Steam Ahead!! We would expect Mitt to choke again, at the 11th hour, once again playing the role he does so well, that of the Gentleman Loser. Well Mitt, we are tired of losing, we want to win, in fact, we need to win.
I don’t think you have the grit to push over that line. I don’t think you have the flexibility of character it takes to become appealing to the democrats. We know Trump is not a full pedigree conservative. So What? This is not just a Dog Show.

That’s a good question, and I don’t know the answer. I think you’re right, after the first ballot, the GOP makes the rules, and if it suits them, there are no rules. They can’t win, though. Even if they put a Romney, Rubio, or even Cruz in there, Trump will go 3rd party. It’s possible, but unlikely, Trump could win it all as a 3rd party candidate. There’s no way the GOP candidate will win with both Trump and Hillary against them.
Perhaps the GOPe feels Romney has more gravitas or whatever or can better compete with Trump in northern states. Who knows?
