Median income would soar by more than $22,000. Nearly 26 million jobs would be created. The unemployment rate would fall to 3.8%.
Those are just a few of the things that would happen if Bernie Sanders became president and his ambitious economic program were put into effect, according to an analysis given exclusively to CNNMoney. The first comprehensive look at the impact of all of Sanders' spending and tax proposals on the economy was done by Gerald Friedman, a University of Massachusetts Amherst economics professor.
Friedman found that if Sanders became president -- and was able to push his plan through Congress -- median household income would be $82,200 by 2026, far higher than the $59,300 projected by the Congressional Budget Office.
In addition, poverty would plummet to a record low 6%, as opposed to the CBO's forecast of 13.9%. The U.S. economy would grow by 5.3% per year, instead of 2.1%, and the nation's $1.3 trillion deficit would turn into a large surplus by Sanders' second term.

Right. Because socialism has worked everywhere it’s been tried since the Pilgrims of Plimoth Plantation. It’s a proven fact. </sarc>
But you count the standing in your work hours so everyone is happy (on paper).
Bring on socialism. Bring on the millions of deaths. Bring on the starvation, the purges of those who will not conform. Bring it on, America. I will be dead soon anyway, as I will not comply. Enjoy the death of your country.
Have they, in turn, thought about the fact they would later have to pay for everyone else’s college for the rest of their lives?
From comments to the article ...
“And what are tax cuts but a form of redistribution?”
That’s what we’re dealing with, folks. People
who think keeping more of what you earn is
redistribution. What worries me is that after
knowing what we knew about Obama, we re-elected
him. We may have passed the point where the
host can do anything but succumb to the parasites.
And milk will cost $50 per gallon and bread will cost $20 per loaf.
After you stand in line all day for it..................
Just to be told there isn’t any, come back tomorrow.
American Marxists, along with their adoring media collaborators have toiled for decades to tease apart and deconstruct every moral and cultural fiber of the American mainstream fabric. The result is a generation of semi-literate and irresponsible self-described “victims” of perceived capitalist oppression, who possess neither the knowledge, the skills, nor the ambition to meaningfully contribute to the advancement and improvement of the human condition.
Not unlike what happened in the Soviet state, America’s “useful idiots” are all-too-willing to abdicate their individual rights of freedom and self-determination to an all-powerful central government and its statist overlords who have no interest whatsoever in their future or quality of life. To believe otherwise about socialism contradicts all known historical evidence.
Some disagree, but I observe socialism as a parasite idea that gets embraced when gospel is sufficiently disbelieved. It offers similar dynamics on the surface. However the substance isn’t there because it isn’t God at the heart of it.
Recovery is simple in principle: restore the gospel belief. However getting people to swallow their pride and accept the concept of divine gift is difficult. I said simple; I didn’t ever say easy!
The really sad thing is sheeple believe this crap. We just tried this with Nobama and it didn’t work for crap. The only thing that happened was the fat cats on wall street got rich.....the very people Bernie loaths.
The fact anyone supports this clown shows we are already doomed. All the average joe can do is continue to work hard, pray and prepare.
They are in fact, thinking of government as a god that is entitled to the tribute.
That’s pretty telling!
What are they basing these claims on?
right...
because socialism works every time it’s tried.
oh wait!
it’s capitalism that works every time it’s tried, while socialism ALWAYS fails, once the covetous leeches run out of other peoples money.
I’d recommend: pray, and witness (in a mutually reinforcing cycle).
Great blessing is still possible. It wasn’t God who changed... people changed. But people are going to have to repudiate the idols they have made. Some of these idols are government. Some of these idols are religions.
Just like they did in Venezuela.
LMAO...read these quotes from students in rate the professor

Sanders is proof that sniffing glue can lead to dangerous fantasies and desire for power. Let’s look at Venezuela...the latest case of a country thinking that the gov. taking over most industries will lead to great things for the poor. Now they’re scrambling to find toilet paper. Yes, socialism...what a great economic system. (snort)
You’ve got to give it to these socialists they never let impracticability interfere with a visionary theory.
The simplest definition I’ve been able to come up with as the definition of Marxism/Collectivism/Socialism is this: Something for Nothing.
I’ll take the advice of the other Friedman - Milton.
