Something Trump Can't Buy

If Donald Trump wins the presidency and succeeds in doing what he says he will do he will be assured a position in history as one of our very greatest presidents.

As I watch this election process, I am, as usual, skeptical of all of the candidates.

Because of the seriousness of our country's situation, our next president has an opportunity to earn a position in history next to our greatest American presidents and heroes.

As I evaluate these candidates and try to discern whose words I can trust, I continue to return to this thought about Trump.

Any thoughts?

We are a nation of laws, not men. Greatness is not in how big a bully a man is, but rather in how wise a man is. A man can be smart and tough without being wise. Without wisdom, he will never be great. He may get a lot done, but he will never be great. There are many aspects to wisdom, but one sure sign it is missing is a lack of humility and self reflection.

Therefore I do not see any path for Trump to become a great President.

That’s pretty well said and true.

I find no reason to trust DT. He plans on ruling like bambi, stroke of the pen. Problem is congress won’t let him get away with it.
It is called laws, rule of law.

Yes he will. Whoever is elected is going into office with tremendous disadvantages. Our country is almost beyond saving economically, we are overrun with illegals from every country in the world, our laws have been subjugated by judges and congressman who have sold out to the highest bidder. If he can even get part of this under control or reverses he will be a hero.

Yeah, it would have been wise for Cruz to take a few more years to establish himself before going for POTUS.
Had enough of half term Senators, especially if they worked for Bush.

I’m especially skeptical of a man with a progressive past who doesn’t have a single accomplishment for the cause of conservatism to point to. Yet I’m supposed to believe he’s suddenly conservative because he;s been saying so for the last seven months. Even as he makes weekly slips of the tongue that reveal his core liberalism.

No sale. Period.

The only person that Trumps cares whether or not he is considered a great president is Trump’s one moneyman, himself.

Trump is an opportunist and a demagogue.

I am amazed and disappointed that so many of my conservative colleagues are dumping their principles in order to support him.

This is cultism. I expect cultism from the Left. I do not expect it from our side.

In this election we need to focus on the biggest threats to our nation
- terrorism and unchecked illegal migration
- national debt
- political correctness run amuck

Who is best suited to fight for America and her future with regard to these top threats?

Do you think, from what we’ve seen so far, that Donald Trump can do that?

Thank you.

“Cruz to take a few more years to establish himself before going for POTUS.”

It would be nice if DT had ANY governing experience or understood ANYTHING about how the government actually works. Maybe he should have done something in ANY public office before running for POTUS.
