While it's been kinda boring so far, I think it's unfair to compare it to the actual TWD. Two different lifestyles between the two series and I think FTWD kinda captures the California mindset of people caught up in a zombiepolcalypse who don't know it yet.....
I'm not going to criticize the character plot anymore and just wait and see how it plays out...........

Thank you for continuing to host the TWD and FTWD threads.......

Other than the time they were looking for the son and he was at the protest, the characters don’t have the presence of mind to turn on a TV, radio, smart phone, or computer to try to find out what is happening. In a real zombie apocalypse all social media would be melting down with millions of posts.

I saw an interesting comment at spoilthedead.com.
Someone opined that Nick might be the only one on this show who might end up improving himself in unexpected ways, which would not have happened without the ZA...much like Daryl became a better person on TWD.
Nick’s going to have to get clean now...but without the ZA, he probably would have continued on as a junkie until he OD’d.

Everyone thinks the actor playing Nick the junkie looks like Johnny Depp, but I think he looks more like the late, great actor John Cazale (brother Fredo in The Godfather)

These people are in a fenced-in Woodbury and don’t realize it yet.

Don’t tell me that in this episode they are playing JENGA! sigh

Looks like Nick is off to the Soylent Green factory...but he’ll be back. Considering his drug infused blood system...I’m guessing he’ll be back as a bottle of Advil Liqui-Gels.

Ok so what did we learn from this episode?:
1) You got an army holding you hostage and zombies outside. Why not go for a run around the block or go for a lap in the pool.
2) You need medication. Hey no worry, just find a sick patient and steal his.
3) “Hi I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you”. Just remember the National Guard is there to help you with shelter, food, water and sex.
Stay tune for our next lesson next week =)
