That’s my thought, too. I think Nick might be the character to root for. I’m pulling for him to beat his addiction and become the “Carol” of the group. :D
Everyone thinks the actor playing Nick the junkie looks like Johnny Depp, but I think he looks more like the late, great actor John Cazale (brother Fredo in The Godfather)

I kind of want him to hurry up and beat the drugs. I wonder how long the writers will string it out.
Not likely since the writers are more intent on character development rather than establishing a sister series just to screw with the audience by quickly killing all of them off......
You know they’ll bring the drug addiction subplot back later in the series, too - assuming Nick don’t git bit.

Well first...he’s gonna have to pull the stolen morphine drip needle out from between his toes and crawl out from under that old man’s bed. He’s still very much a junkie.

It would have been difficult to create a more obnoxious self centered family than the main characters.
