Laurence Fishburne, call your mother.
I hate to be the one to break the news. But the woman who gave life to the talented actor, who said she emptied her retirement savings account so her only child would grow into a star, director, producer and playwright, claims shes down on her luck.
Hattie Crawford Fishburne, 80, told me that, unable to pay the rent for several months, shes received written notice informing her shell be evicted from her Los Angeles apartment Tuesday.
And she said she cant reach her wealthy son, with whom she last spoke more than a year ago when his father died.
Hes gone Hollywood! Hattie Fishburne told me.
For 20 years, I funded my sons career, she said. He promised me he would take care of me. He promised me a house, a golden retriever, a calico cat. To this day, I have not got a Christmas present or a Thank you, Mama present. He hasnt given me a penny.
Im so hurt and disappointed.

WHO?
There are exceptions. Admittedly rare, but they exist.
I have a friend whose mother let her be raped by her grandfather for almost a decade - starting at age 5.
My friend is doing OK. And I completely support her letting her mother live in filth.
I hadn’t thought about it but there is a lot of similarity.
I mentioned them because I suspect the five were chips off the old block while one was the Black Sheep or in this case the White Sheep.
I know they were involved with the murder of a girl who the coroner ruled died of suicide. Like I said they were successful criminals just like the Clintons it turns out.
Let me guess, he is also an avowed leftist?
Obama supporter. 100%. So, yeah, he’s leftscum.
The mom, not the daughter.
I agree. Can’t be done though. That said, the monster’s life is not far from that.
So, his mom is getting evicted. So?
nah, she’s a nagging black bitch
Excellent.
Say it ain't so, Cowboy Curtis.
Mama didn’t raise her baby right.
Mmmmm. Maybe. Maybe not.
As I understand it, he disowned his daughter.
“Honor thy mother and they father.”
It doesn’t say you have to love them.
I read that story this morning and I’m not sure what to think. No, Fishburn should not leave his mother neglected. Even if she wasn’t a good mother, he’s rich enough to hire people to look after her.
But, it says she has income (pension+ soc. sec.) of $3000 per month and her rent is $1500.00. She claims she can’t pay her rent with that income, but I don’t really see how that can be.
Not to let her neglectful son off too easy, but she could live in any number of decent places in this country fairly well on $3,000.00 a month, with rent a third of what she’s paying or close to it. Home is home I guess, but if you can’t afford it, it’s time to go.
Jimmy McGill could sort this out.
Not everyone has a good relationship with their mom. But many are also classy enough not to talk about it in public.
