I read that story this morning and I’m not sure what to think. No, Fishburn should not leave his mother neglected. Even if she wasn’t a good mother, he’s rich enough to hire people to look after her.

But, it says she has income (pension+ soc. sec.) of $3000 per month and her rent is $1500.00. She claims she can’t pay her rent with that income, but I don’t really see how that can be.

Not to let her neglectful son off too easy, but she could live in any number of decent places in this country fairly well on $3,000.00 a month, with rent a third of what she’s paying or close to it. Home is home I guess, but if you can’t afford it, it’s time to go.

Jimmy McGill could sort this out.

My parents had over 14,000 dollars worth of medical bills last year. They get 2,000 a month in SS.

That’s how it happens.
