At least the Georgia cops ended up apologizing to the man for their mistake. To me that’s the more remarkable aspect of the story because lately it seems most of these stories like this end up with an innocent person terrorized, wrongfully jailed, or even outright murdered.

Dwayne Perry of Cartersville tells WSB-TV that he was awakened by a helicopter flying low over his house Wednesday and then some heavily-armed deputies and a K-9 unit showed up at his door. Helicopter, Swat & K-9 for Okra Raid. ...laughing stock!

I grew a couple of Okra plants a few years ago. They have beautiful flowers and produced lots of Okra pods. But damn they grew almost as big as trees. 4-5 inches in dia. a the base. They do not look like marijuana in any way. I will not grow Okra again it took me on my lawn tractor to pull them down at the end of the growing season. Oh and they grow fast and if the pods are not picked when very young the pods are very tough and impossible to eat.

Lawyers are frantically trying to get that person's phone number, and soon his phone will be ringing 24/7.
Simple case, probably going to earn more money per word than any other to date: “Folks, those Jack Booted Thugs, that's them a sittin’ raht there, they SWATed this innocent fellow Georgian ‘cause the idiot chilren thought his okra was marijuana.
Y'all know what to do.
