If you don't eat chili peppers or hot curry much you may want to reassess that given new research that claims the peppers and curry can play a role in reducing the risk of colorectal and bowel tumors, as well as extend a person's lifespan by 30 percent.
The study claims the active ingredient in chili peppers, called dietary capsaicin, decreases the cancer risk as it triggers chronic activation of an ion channel called TRPV1, which is a sensory neuron that protects the intestine against acidity and spicy chemicals.
In essence adding chili peppers and hot curries to the diet can not only lower the risk of bowel cancer the foods can extend life and even boost memory, according to the research.
The peppers and curry intake can also help burn off calories more easily, and earlier research indicates capsaicin lowers blood pressure.

We judge our peppers on a "double burn" scale...
Lol...per post #21:
: )
There is a Buffalo Wild Wings in town, I'll have to check it out.
What are the controls in the experiment?
Studies like these are pretty useless. Eat a varied diet of plants and animals, move often, and get a good night’s rest.
Maybe you’ll live longer, maybe not.
With all the talk about Buffalo Wild Wings, I did a search and found their website:
http://www.buffalowildwings.com/
You can enter your zip code and it shows locations near you.
They show their available sauces, but it doesn’t look like you can order them via mail order...
‘Braveheart’ at the south’s ‘Wild Wing’ restaurants puts ANY sauce at ‘Buffalo Wild Wing’ to shame...not even a contest.

Get yourself a can of Creole style creamed Navy Beans (although I also use regular pinto beans or chili beans, too)
Heat them in a skillet and mix in some McCormick's Hot Madras Curry, turmeric (till you get the aroma and golden color you want), add a dash of powdered ginger and McCormick's Garam Masala, and sweeten it up with some Tabasco.
It takes about 5-10 minutes.
A few years ago I dated a lovely woman..who has a passion, nay, a craving, for the HOTTEST food..she eats a scotch bonnet like I eat a plum. She actually carries a little container of hot chili powder to sprinkle on her food. So, on our second date, we’re out to dinner..having a lovely time...I noticed her adding the chili to her food, but didn’t think much of it..that night, I take her home,..we liked each other from our first meeting..so, there’s a pretty passionate kiss, tongues probing..and after about 15 seconds, my lips and tongue BEGIN TO BURN......I start sweating like I’d just run a 10k..it was wild..
It also cures most form of brain cancer.. After eating the stuff..you usually S**T your brains out..
Like minds post at the same time.
The article also claims IQ enhancement from such trash food.
Were that so, cultures eating such stuff would have enhanced IQ scores. But, Mexicans test out less intelligent than Caucasians, and have so done for decades of testing.
I’m fermenting some Jalapenos right now, smell good.
I’ve got about 35 quarts pickled, 5 pints of relish, a gallon frozen, a quart of dried (about 5 quart of slices before drying), peppers in everything else I pickle, peppers in my tomato sauce, and my pepper plants are still producing.
My buddy is going to bring me some of his ghost peppers we’re going to ferment and make hot sauce.
Here in the upper Midwest, where in many places ketchup is considered highly spicy, why are there so many crusty old codgers living into their 90’s? While I love hot food, I was taken aback yesterday when an African woman in the grocery line with me had a huge bag of habanero peppers. I asked how she planned to use all those peppers. She replied that she cooked just about everything with these peppers.
Ya suppose it’s a suppository?
Not one Red Hot Chili Peppers reference yet?
Unfortunately most people can’t long tolerate chili pepper enemas. Thanks Innovative.
Yum! I love both.
