Over the last two weeks, we polled the Awful Announcing readers on their opinions of each local broadcast team around the majors. The polls were broken down division by division to gain the perspective of both fans and rivals for each broadcast team.
The votes are in, and we weighted your grades on a four point scale for each broadcast crew and sorted them to determine who your favorite and least favorite broadcast teams were. Each A vote received 4 points, 3 points for a B vote, down to 0 points for an F vote. The total points scored were divided by the total number of votes to calculate what amounts to a GPA for each broadcast booth.

If you watch a Rangers game on TV, definitely turn down the TV sound, and turn on Eric Nadel’s radio broadcast.
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
Palmer's still got it!
nice panties, jim!
“If you watch a Rangers game on TV, definitely turn down the TV sound, and turn on Eric Nadels radio broadcast.”
Steve Busby and Tom Grieve (TAG) suffer in comparison to Eric Nadel because Eric Nadel is so good. Busby and TAG are really pretty good compared to many others. In fact I think they are as good as most national broadcast teams. They are not overt homers like many local broadcasters. Busby has a nice understated style that works well with TAG’s goofiness.
That is provided TAG can refrain from talking about cookies.
Phil Simms is one of the worst color men on TV...sometimes I think he knows nothing about he game. He's great at telling the audience what they have just seen for themselves. And if I hear "We talked about" one more time I'll flip my lid.
Even though the Mets stank these last few years, they have made the games entertaining
Like Keith Hernandez admiring a female fan's hot dog & more
However, the Yankee Broadcasters are the worst ever. Especially, radio team. that woman is so annoying.
I'd turn the T.V. sound off...and tune into Chick Hearn on the radio!!
He was class..and classic!
Da Pale Ho’s in last place?
What else can you say but, “He gone!”
I like Mario and Rod in Detroit. There will never be anyone to hold a candle to Ernie Harwell but Mario and Rod are OK.
The absolute worst are the ESPN national announcers. It doesn’t matter who is playing, they’ll spend most of the game talking about the Yankees and Red Sox.
A couple years ago during a game in Detroit covered by ESPN the camera showed a view of the Ambassador bridge and one of those morons said it was the golden gate bridge.
No doubt about last place! White Sox announcer Ken Harrelson makes me want to start cutting myself again. Anyone who says some other announcer is worse has never been forced to listen to the jacka... er, I mean, Hawk!
All I can say is the Baltimore Orioles games are a pleasure to watch and the Nationals are painful.
I loved Madden don’t watch much anymore after the super bowl shuffle kinda lost interest
The king in my opinion.

“Color” commentator are for soccer moms.
Is there anything worse than watching a game and constantly having your mind dragged down into those depths?
Answer: no, there is not.
Jerry Remy makes me cringe. Always has, always will.
The rain is over and gone
The flowers appear on the Earth
The time of the singing of birds is come
And the voice of the turtle is heard in our land.
His son makes me tremble.
