Athens man arrested for beating teen he caught showering with stepdaughter

Athens-Clarke County police said they arrested a man on Tuesday for assaulting a teen who he caught showering with his stepdaughter. Police charged Clinton Antonio Ward, 49, with battery, and first- and third-degree cruelty to children for the assault at the man’s home on Creekstone Drive. Ward’s arrest came after his own 911 call to report that teens were in his apartment, according to police. When officers arrived they spoke with Ward’s 16-year-old stepdaughter, who said Ward was not home when she and her boyfriend, also 16, went into the shower, police said.

Damn right, I would have done the very same thing. Here we have a black man stepping up trying to be a good father and he gets arrested. I wish I could be on any jury if he is tried, I would never vote to convict him for this.

When you’re 16, doing stupid sh!t like that is the price of of your hormones. You take the risk; if you get caught you take the punishment. Boy got what he deserved.

Geez...for what he is facing he might as well went ahead and beat the kid to death.
Does not sound as if the beating was to bad, no report of the kid going to the hospital.
