I'm confused!
What was the question?
I, too, wrestle with “the meaning of life.” I’ve been following the Lord for years, and still find myself questioning what the purpose of all this is, specifically what my purpose is. It’s the most important question to ask. I don’t have all the answers; I have few, in fact. But as of today, the “life as narrative” metaphor is the one that I find most helpful. It helps me put into context my relationship with the Lord, my reliance on Him, my hope in Him, my deference to the plot twists that he brings my way ...
(Acts 17) v 27: one of my favorites in the entire Bible.

Mine, too. While I love the entire Bible, I like the passages and verses that are more summary in nature:
Matthew 22:36-40
New International Version (NIV)
36 Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?
37 Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Micah 6:8
New International Version (NIV)
8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
No truer words have been spoken by man.

“What is the meaning of life?”
Reproduction. Like the mold on an old orange. We are the
users of the natural resources of the physical universe. We
exist to create the things and make the changes that nature
can’t. Though we do destroy nature for our own benefit, in
the long run we preserve it as well. We are here to manage,
control, and eventually tame nature.

“What is the meaning of life?” Sex, food, eat, sex, food
sleep, mostly in that order.
Life is a series of (seemingly) random events. And then you die. The present is all we have so live righteously for all the time you’re given and then you won’t need to worry about the answer to your question.
Confused can be good.
Life is confused.
Being confused helps understand life..................
God, Family, Friends, and Memories. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Also one of my favorites is I Kings 19 where Elijah flees to Mt. Horeb and he finds God in the “gentle whisper” (or KJV still small voice).
The know-it-all libtards need to read this and quake in their boots. But, of course, many will always remain too arrogant to seek after the presence of God.
Absolutely, and thanks for all the fish!
The Author of life is writing a story. Be part of the narrative.
BTTT
A wise man told me (and a bunch of other FReepers) it isn't your job to know what to do. Your job is to show up.
Step two is to understand God is in control.
(paraphrasing)
This is what has worked for me.
You’re happy?
;-)
God Bless my FRiend and brother...
It’s a test do the best you can.
I pray that God would reveal his plan for my life. Right now it’s a shambles. Wife left, only child (adopted) living with her natural mother, attorney lost his license to practice law, and about tapped me out monetarily.
Life is my work, work is my life. God doesn’t seem to listen, and nothing else seems to matter.
It is not the here and now we need to prepare for but the here after.
Contentment is in God’s Son and so is salvation. They go hand in hand.
