Everything in life has risks, including being a couch potato. Some things have higher risks.

True, but I do pity all the folks walking around these days with their little oxy bottles.

I smoked Kools for 30 years.
After my first heart attack, my cardiologists said “It was the smoking that killed you”
Threw 8 cartons in the trash when I got home.
Haven’t had one since.

It seems we lose one of these “ex-Marlboro men” every 10 years or so according to the “media”. We’re slowly losing all of them.

Me too.
Funny thing is some of them never smoked a day in their entire lives.
I’ve been a smoker for the last 35 years, I’m not saying it’s a wise habit but the social hysteria surrounding it is a bit much sometimes.....especially when the current push is to legalize pot.

I had a great uncle who was a Catholic Priest.
He picked up the habit of chewing tobacco while serving in a mission overseas. He chewed the rest of his adult life.
When he passed away at age 94, the State of New York listed “tobacco use” as a contributing cause of death on his Death Certificate.
Gotta have the statistic, dontcha know.
