Football is played outside, in real weather. The worse the weather the better the game!

Well, they were willing to take a chance on the weather. It’s a roll of the dice.
If they get a warm spell, it could easily be 45 degrees, which would be nice football weather. On the other hand, it could be in the teens or colder that time of year.
Maybe this will be the first and last time they have an outdoor stadium in the north host a Super Bowl. We’ll see.

It’s football. You play football in bad weather. Nuff said!

Maybe you assume the Super Bowl is about football. It is not. It is about money

I still think the chances of them moving the game to a different day are slim to none. There is just too much money at stake - advertisers pay millions of dollars for a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl, solely because of the astronomical ratings the game receives. Entire ad campaigns are built around Super Bowl ads. Move the game to a Monday or Tuesday (or a Friday or Saturday), and those astronomical ratings plummet. The advertisers (and, by extension, the network) would revolt (and sue).

Agreed. Football games should not be delayed, cancelled, or moved to another location due to inclement weather.

They’ve been “considering” a move since they made this decision. It’s always been contingent on the weather being so bad there’s a city shutdown, like what happened to the game in Philly last year. Regular bad weather will be played through, just like any other football game.
