New Yorks Governor, Andrew Cuomo, just announced that right-to-life advocates have no place in the state of New York. The Radiance Foundation and its civil rights allies defy Governor Cuomos intolerance and have launched the DREAM IS DEAD ad campaign (www.toomanyaborted.com/ny) in New York on Martin Luther King Day.
ryanbomberger26The bold ad campaign declares: The Dream Is Dead For 56 Million: TooManyAborted.com reminding the public of Dr. Martin Luther Kings fight to ensure justice for all. Bus transit ads will be seen throughout the states capital, Albany, as well as Troy and Schenectady. In 1963 when Martin Luther King Jr. shared his Dream with the nation, he never envisioned an America where reproductive justice would end more than 56 million innocent human lives. His dream never pictured a nation where black boys and black girls would never be able to join hands with white boys and white girls, as sisters and brothers, because freedom of choice determined some humans are simply not equal.
New York has the second highest abortion rate in America and the second highest total number of abortions, exceeding 100,000 annually. There is obviously no lack of access. Yet, liberal legislators in the state want to decriminalize all abortions allowing the violent procedure through the entire 9 months of pregnancy. Planned Parenthood and a coalition of other pro-abortion groups have joined Governor Cuomos quest to enact the Reproductive Health Act, part of his Womens Equality Act. This dangerous pro-Gosnell bill will only endanger even more women and their unborn children.
Planned Parenthood continually touts that they gave Martin Luther King their first Margaret Sanger Award in 1966. What they fail to tell the public is that abortion wasnt legal in 66. Dr. King wrongly believed birth control would reduce poverty. He also wrongly believed Planned Parenthood was interested in elevating poorer blacks. Their abortion numbers tell a completely different story.
According to the NY State Department of Health, for every 1,000 black babies born alive, 1,223 are aborted. No other racial/ethnic demographic aborts more of their children than are born alive. Yet groups like the NAACP have endorsed this radical bill that will clearly disproportionately impact the black community. The TooManyAborted.com New York campaign will continue to educate the public about this civil rights issue throughout Black History Month.
Margaret Sanger's intent.
According to the NY State Department of Health, for every 1,000 black babies born alive, 1,223 are aborted. No other racial/ethnic demographic aborts more of their children than are born alive.
The Dream is dead alright.
Dem policy:
Step 1 - abort blacks by the millions
Step 2 - import Mexicans by the millions
Question for blacks: What is the goal of this Dem policy?
I never knew this :
“Planned Parenthood continually touts that they gave Martin Luther King their first Margaret Sanger Award in 1966”
SOOOO.. he really thought planned parent hood was going to
help black families’ ?!
Soooo. which party has a war on Black Babies, Black women,
and families in-general?
You say intent I say revenge but it’s all the same disease.
The KKK applauds NY in their efforts to reduce the black population.
Why are they shocked? Had they paid attention to Margret Sanger’s words they would realize this was the plan all along...
“Margaret Sanger’s Revenge”
More her dream come true.
Mr Crow winks
1223/2223=55%.
We’re getting there! (\PP)
Before LBJ’s “War on Poverty,” 6 percent of all births were out of wedlock.
Today, the figure is 41 percent.
Make ‘em out of wedlock and then there is only one to convince to have an abortion rather than two. Makes it so much easier to do your work! (/s)
So true.
Sanger was all about murdering little Black babies. Little brown babies. Little red babies. Little yellow babies. Little poor babies. Little “imperfect” babies.
Sanger was a rotten, disgusting, soul-less, twisted, evil bitch.
Pure and simple.
Bump
The black population is still reproducing at higher rate than white or Asian, total lifetime fertility per black woman, 2.0, white, 1.8, Asian, 1.7, Hispanic, 2.4.
Contraception can shrink a population even more effectively than abortion.
Planned Parenthood has killed more BLACKS than the Klan ever dreamed of.
Yet, BLACKS overwhelmingly supports the party that supports their genocide.
Not to mention the bastardity rate...
Isn’t it something like 90%?
Cuomo's recent comments highlight Parker's point. Silencing the voices who believe that life and liberty are inseparably entwined by the Creator is essential to those who fear that if people of faith hear that truth, they will reject "progressive" advocacy of destroying life in the womb is what compels this objection to free speech for abortion's propronents.
At this particular point America's history, the liberty and personal freedom of every citizen, including minority citizens, clearly are threatened by the reigning Administration's interpretations of the Constitution and resulting policies.
Abortion statistics cited above tend to indicate that minorities are, perhaps, harmed to an even greater degree.
Under the Founders' Constitution, the "freedom of speech" protection was understood to apply to political speech. They made it clear in their writings, their speeches, and their lives, that freedom of conscience, and the freedom to express contesting ideas was uppermost in their minds when they drafted and adopted the Constitution and its Amendments.
Out of the philosophy clearly stated in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution was framed; and the foundation of that document was based on the idea most concisely stated by Thomas Jefferson:
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at time: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them." - Thomas Jefferson
Parker observes: "Its no surprise why pro-abortion forces in America dont want free speech when it comes to raising awareness about this issue of, literally, life and death"
Her next sentence, " The more people understand the reality of abortion, the more they dont want it as a legal, easily accessible part of American life." incorporates two concepts:
1. The reality of abortion which relates to providing what might be described as "full disclosure" to the person (shall we call that person the "mother"?) as to the physical attributes of that which is to be "aborted" at the time of the procedure, and of the exact description of the procedure which is involved by way of an ultra-sound and other materials. For instance, the current stories and pictures of the lovely and well-formed little "child" delivered at 18 weeks and lovingly cared for by his "mother," "father," and "siblings," until his death, might destroy their carefully-constructed indefinite "fetus" argument. When one looks at the statistics on this thread's article, one wonders if the cavalier attitude about the value and meaning of life exemplified by those statistics may contribute also to the high crime rates in communities victimized by that attitude.2. The reality of abortion as to its relationship to America's Constitutional protections, as "intended by those who framed it and to those who adopted it." (Jefferson)
An honest "free speech" setting for dealing with No. 2 certainly should include the core idea of America's philosophical foundations, as summarized by Jefferson's, "The God who gave us life" summary and the Judeo-Christian belief about the Creator from which it was derived.
Reading that statement again, the terms "life" and "liberty," along with the concluding words, take on new meaning, and might, if freely and openly debated in connection to the idea of "abortion," might tend to sway public opinion. Let's read them again:
"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty also: the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them." - Thomas Jefferson
Is there any wonder why opposition to "free speech" about the abortion debate is so rampant among the pro-abortion forces? The same Creator acknowledged by the Founders (see Jefferson) to have endowed individuals with a "gift of reason" exists today, and though "progressives" may fail to acknowledge it, their fear of free and open debate on such an important subject may be telling.
At the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC in February, 1994, Mother Teresa stated:
And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another?"
This is a question which might be asked of every community in America.
Dems don’t care. It’s what they want.
