"Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security." --Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. That might be what the left desires, but us? I don’t think they know who we are or where we are well enough to plan something like that. And I don’t think WE would consider it. We aren’t brutal enough.

I think you got it.
Drug addicts and alcoholics ofter times have to hit rock bottom before they get serious about rehabilitation. I fear that it will be the same for our country.

Vietnam. The Tea Party would be able to win, but the GOPe will make sure that the big targets in the North are off limits and a lot of unilateral ceasefires will be declared while the MSM Cong will be continually sniping.

The problem is that even though the founding documents give the people permission to change it or abolish it, even the mention of changing or abolishing through revolution.....the fedthugs show up on your door step or more than likely knock down your door and shoot you, a la Ruby Ridge or Waco..

Friday is a wonderful story.
It may suggest the answer is to get out while you can.

‘Civil disobedience’ might require fleeing. The devil will use fire, Benghazi style.

Certainly the people have authority to change it. That doesn’t mean that every attempt to change things will or should be successful.
One way to change it is by winning elections, placing supreme court justices, and rewriting laws. Another is by constitutional amendment.

How about a long, slow decline into apathy, laziness, illiteracy, dependency, morbidity, obesity, and immorality?
Does that work for you?
Do you really think “Obama” or whatever he’s called is a CAUSE?
He’s a symptom.

Not secession, I hope. I like being able to go to both coasts without needing a passport. However, I'm afraid it's going to get ugly before it gets better.

I would hope that your are correct. However,I fear the opposite: i.e. total abject surrender expressed by a mere shrug of the shoulders. The conclusive evidence being the creature elected President by the American people. In general Americans only want a life of eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels, snoring and of course “The Games!”

Seize all assets of every state and federal legislator, current and former. The buck stops at the plunderers of the republic.
We (a certain segment of the people not in the FSA) have ZERO representation.
