The problem is that even though the founding documents give the people permission to change it or abolish it, even the mention of changing or abolishing through revolution.....the fedthugs show up on your door step or more than likely knock down your door and shoot you, a la Ruby Ridge or Waco..

Certainly the people have authority to change it. That doesn’t mean that every attempt to change things will or should be successful.

One way to change it is by winning elections, placing supreme court justices, and rewriting laws. Another is by constitutional amendment.
