So, now we find out out, except for national security, just how worthless this big government of ours is.
Soldiers are still on duty. You and I on private enterprise will go to work tomorrow, as usual. And the legions of bureaucrats will stay home, knowing that they will still get their back pay right after the latest manufactured crisis passes.
And yet, We The People, are still here. Working hard, going about our lives. We will keep the Republic, Ben.

Constitutional Scholars/Lawyers: In view of the shutdown in the last hour or so and the Democrats scream it will be the "end of the world as we know it" and all Federal services including those impacting internal and national security, can States and Localities Make EMERGENCY DECLARATIONS and say that "Since the US Federal Government has officially shut down, and border security/national sovereignty is primarily the domain of the Federal Government, yet our own localities (states) suffer from an extreme Illegal Alien influx, fiscal drain and crime problem, we are hereby assuming all matters of detention, citizenship or legal alien status confirmation and if necessary expulsion from the United States of those in our State (County) found to not be on US soil with proper I.C.E. legal authorization, until such time as the Federal Government can resume these police powers by themselves, for the sake of the protection of our citizens. This policy shall continue until further notice."?

I’m glad the government is shut down. none of the government is needed except for the military and border control and that is it , get rid of the IRS, EPA, FEC, FCC, gov schools, NASA( the global warming hoax pushers) etc

The nations hospitals are still functioning, for now. Today ushers in new reimbursement and measurement schemes designed to not pay for services rendered. I’ll pose the nasty question: How many industries will survive when they are mandated by government edict to give away goods and services? I’ll give hospitals and clinics in non urban locations a year maybe.
This just in… Welfare recipients, democRATS, village idiots, Obongo staff, illegal aliens, Food Stamp money exchangers, PETA Puffers, Democrat Underground (FEMA-Nazis), peter puffers, RINOs and the unemployed are committing suicide at unprecedented rates. Frankly If I were president every federal employee would be asked to turn in their resignation and sit for rehiring.
I remember Bush tried to do that with a few departments, and they refused and he backed down. I would send in the Sheriff and remove them and lock up the buildings.
The elected government is bad enough but the lifers in the bureaucracy is what kills us.
