So, now we find out out, except for national security, just how worthless this big government of ours is.
Soldiers are still on duty. You and I on private enterprise will go to work tomorrow, as usual. And the legions of bureaucrats will stay home, knowing that they will still get their back pay right after the latest manufactured crisis passes.
And yet, We The People, are still here. Working hard, going about our lives. We will keep the Republic, Ben.

i wouldn’t mind if a shutdown meant all politicians’ seats are open too. good ones would return, iffy ones might be defeated.

I’m concerned as my VA disability has not reached my bank account. I have never paid attention to whether it hit my account at midnight on the 1st, but if it doesn’t arrive, I’m gonna be in trouble.
Maybe someone else knows when VA disability hits the bank account. ???
I’ve been watching our bank account too....expect hubby’s guard pension, and his PBGC check......I’m all for the shutdown, but since there is no shutdown in taking in tax money, these checks should be automatic....
And at last, in an address to DoD personnel, the President acknowledges that the only critical function of the federal government is that of national defense. All else can wait.

If you where to get it on the 1st the funds would have been sent the 30th.
