It was invented in Germany in 1924 four years after the first synthesis of hydrocodone.[2] The other dihydromorphinone used as an antitussive is hydromorphone (Dilaudid Cough Syrup); the other narcotic antitussives are either more directly related to codeine or not so at all (open chain methadone relatives and thiambutenes).

I can't eat a whole pound. I cut a pound into 8 parts and put it in a freezer container. Shake it as it freezes so it's not stuck together.
