Yes, the Monroe-Kennedy picture is a fake. I remember it being part of an art exhibit of provocative fakes, including ones of Queen Elizabeth on the toilet and of Ozzy Ozborne training for the London Marathon. See http://alisonjackson.com

Thank you gorush, these are great. I liked seeing the one of the SanFrancisco fire after the earthquake.
I once found a forum with a huge thread of old pictures and spent a couple of hours looking at them! The main thing I noticed, was that the people were all dressed neatly AND you didn’t see any fat people!! Sorry if that offends anyone, but it’s true.

Thanks so much for both your posts and links, I’ll enjoy browsing through both of them.
The site I mentioned was on a forum with a huge continuing thread of old photos all through the years. A hodge-podge, but once you got started you just couldn’t stop looking, lol.
